XBOX Live - Dissapointing

This is a great game, and I very much look forward to when the patch gets released for Xbox. I'm really enjoying it except for: Xbox Live

I was really looking forward to playing my other cricket video game loving friend on xbox live. To date it's been really disappointing.

We are both on connections greater than 2Mb/s. And the lag is shocking (I know the patch will fix some of this) but I'm talking about after the ball has left the hand of the bowler, so not the hovering issue. Also.. The connection drop outs happen pretty much everyday.. the menu system is unintuitive and I don't think you can save an online game?

If someone can tell me how to save an online game, I'd greatly appreciate it. Unfortunatley I don't have the time to be playing a 5 day test online in one sitting.

After playing seamless FIFA online,.. this game really dissapoints.

Don't get me wrong.. it's an awesome, challenging game

First of all, you can not save online game. I know its painful.

Secondly, are you plauing friends in your own country or some other coutnry. If you play with your firends in the same country as yours then there shouldnt be any lag...however if you are playing outside your country then unfortuatley there will be lag. i am in australia and if i play someone in uk then there is a small lag but you do get use to it after you play few games.

its got nothing to do with xbox live. its actually the game which has the problem. but i guess this problem will be sorted soon with a patch.

well online play has its issues, i think its taking baby steps towards improvement

i think they really need to focus on it in the next instalment for the game to sell well and have money value, coz people will buy your game if you have a good multiplayer coz offline, once you play all the game modes it gets boring after some days.

i'm waiting for the patch and i woud like to know if they have "submitted for certification" to microsoft yet or not??? coz once the title update is ready they give it to microsoft for certification and that takes 1-2 weeks after it has been all tested.

i dont want an answer that "when it will be announced it will be told" or "mid/end october". etc.

Well how can you expect any other answer? Anyone who gives you a definitive date is lying.

I think if someone has spent $99 on a game then it is reasonable question whether Codemaster have submitted the patch to MS for certification or is it still being tested by PC users?

I don't want an actual date but an update would be very nice for very patient customers.

It's still being tested and hasn't been submitted yet.

Is that coming from you or Codemasters? Are you a PR person for Codemasters?

I think you might have missed the part of this forum where we explained that we're working with Transmission and Codies in a private area of the forum.
There are various people posting there including Jamie Firth so we have a fairly good idea what we're talking about.

So how are the tests going so far? Are there many issues to be resolved? Beta testing has gone on for a while now.

Well it's better than being accused of rushing it. They're trying to resolve the freezing problems, fix the legends mode with the length changes and some small tweaks to gameplay. Think there might be a couple of others too but not sure.
Time is definitely not on their side anymore.

well, then i certainly think they should take their time to resolve all issues and give us a solid game. personally i dont mind waiting until november to get a title update.

i'm not sure if they will still be working on a 2nd title update after the first update is released so maximum issues should be taken into account.

any chance the fielding can be looked at, coz i think its just terrible.

if two players end up on the same side and the ball comes on the side where both the batsman are, there is still a chance of a run out but the AI doesnt do anything there?? and doesnt throw the ball on the other end !!

thats just one example but yeah no haste

You can't save an online game?

That is just poor design. If they took one moment to think of the type of gamer who is playing the game and their life... then maybe they would have included it.

I design these sorts of systems/applications for a living.. it would have taken nothing to think of this option

Im pretty sure xbox patch is now pretty much definate gonna be sometime november as i hear, any confirmation??
