Youhana Embraces Islam
Former Pakistan vice captain and middle order batsman Yousuf Youhana has cleared the air here Saturday regarding his embracing Islam. His new name is Muhammad Yousuf.
He said that he accepted Islam three years ago but due to certain conditions and pressure he did not reveal but now the time has come to openly speak of my religion. Even his wife he said has also joined him in Islam and he wanted his parents and other family members to also embrace the religion.
He further said that he used to visit Raiwind that melted him towards Islam. ?Now me and my wife pray five times a day and I believe there is no religion as open and soft as Islam,? he added.
Over the last couple of days, the news gripped the entire country that he has turned to Islam but Youhana refused to comment on the issue saying that such news often publishes.
?I have nothing to say on the news,? he said then. But Saturday he formally announced his religion after offering Mugrab prayers after the training session here at the National Cricket Academy.
