Best of luck mate, nice to see someone using one of the weaker teams in the game.

zimbabwe always have been my favorite team, and nice to see some one as gas said using a weaker team,Also i think you should use all the rebels rather then the original team.

Zimbabwe VS South Africa A - Warm-Up match (20 Overs)

Welcome to Port Elizabeth for the warm-up match between Zimbabwe and South Africa A. It is hot and sunny here with a few clouds but except that it is a clear blue sky, a perfect day for cricket. The pitch seems to be flat, hard and true with the bowl carrying straight to the wicket keeper. It has a fair amount of bounce and should be a good batting pitch.

Conditions:

Pitch: Hard
Bounce: High
Rain: No Chance
Light: Very good
Playability: good for team batting first, seam bowlers have a good chance and so do wrist spinners.

The toss:

The toss isn?t much of a matter, as the decision does not matter much. On for the toss and the outcome is South Africa A have won the toss but surprisingly they choose to bowl. Although it sounds odd, there might be some reason behind it.

Line-Up:

The Zimbabwean line-up seemed good as they had a few good batsman and fast bowlers.

D.Ebrahim
Marillier
T.Friend
G.Flower
T.Taibu
G.Rennie
H.Streak
S.Ervine
A.Blignaut
R.Price
D.Hondo

The South African A team consists Ontong and Nel who play for South Africa

M.Van Wyk
A.Amla
Van Jaarsvld
A.Prince
G.Dros
J.Ontong
J.Kemp
J.Morkel
G.Bodi
A.Nel
D.Pretorius

The match:

The cheering crowd greeted the players onto the field and the players took their positions with confidence. However the confidence of the Zimbabwean openers did not last long as Ebrahim went of for a sill run and was given out by the third umpire. The score 19/1. The second wicket didn?t stand long enough too as Marillier hit the bowl straight to the hand of Nel who caught it without any trouble. The score 39/2. Then another wicket fell off at 48 when Flower was dismissed in the same way as Marillier except that he was caught by Morkel and bowled by Nel. The score 48/3. But then a strong partnership of Taibu and Friend worth 34 was put up to save Zimbabwe. But in the end Friend was leg before when he was at 32. The score 82/4. And then after 5 more runs were put up, Taibu departed after getting caught by Pretrius off Morkel. And then came the most vital partnership of Rennie and Streak who together put up 37 to put their team in a better position. But then Streak departed on a run out at 8. The score 126/6. Rennie was then bowled out at 36 without making a single extra run. The score 126/7.and then when the score was 137 Ervine was bowled as well. The score 137/8. And then towards the end of the 20th over. The score was 141/8 with Blignaut at 6 and Price at 4.

All my messages will be in quotes. The only surprising fact is that i made this without an AI Patch. Later i realised that the game wasn't tough but i wasn't playing sensibly.(you can know that by the wickets i have lost, all because of foolishness) but you can expect better scores later on. screens will come soon.

Zimbabwe Lose to South Africa A

Zimbabwe have lost their 20 Overs Warm-up match against the inexperienced South Africa A. Zimbabwe who set a total of 141 for them to chase were beaten by South Africa as they made the total in 13 overs and with the loss of just 5 wickets.

The match:

Although the Zimbabweans had scored a very low total, they were sure that they could catch up in bowling. But their expectations were changed to shocks and soon to terror as the South African batsmen showed the Zimbabweans what batting really was. As the opening partnership of Van Wyk and Amla scored 31, the Zimbabweans got afraid. But when the score was 31, Van Wyk was caught by Friend off Streak. And then when the score was 40 Amla was also caught. The score 40/2. Then Prince and Van Jaar put up another grueling partnership worth 37. Then Van Jaarsvld departed when the score was 77. the score 77/3 then Dros departed very soon leaving Prince stranded on the middle. The score 78/4. But then help came for him as Ontong accompanied him for another grueling partnership worth 47 runs. Finally Marillier managed to send Ontong off for 16. The score 125/5. But then all hope was lost for the visitors as victory was just 17 runs away. The last over saw Ervine bowl 2 wides in the beginning of his spell and Kemp made the 4 runs to gain victory in the third ball. The score 142/5 with Prince at 44 and Kemp at 15.

Zimbabwe VS South Africa At Cape Town ( 5-Day Test Match)

Welcome to Cape Town for the only test match of the series between Zimbabwe and South Africa. It is an Overcast day and there is an average chance for rain. The pitch is Normal with a little bit of moisture in it so the bowlers who get first usage of the pitch should make full use of the moisture. Gradually as the moisture content decreases, the pitch should get more batting friendly.

Conditions:

Pitch: Normal
Weather: Overcast
Temperature: Mild
Chance of Rain: Medium
Outfield: Slow
Playability: Team bowling first have better chance to take wickets. Should favor batsmen as the match progresses.

Line-Up

The line up of Zimbabwe:

D.Ebrahim
M.Vermeulen
S.Carlisle
G.Flower
G.Rennie
T.Taibu
H.Streak
S.Ervine
A.Blignaut
R.Price
D.Hondo

The Zimbabwean?s haven?t made much change to their line-up except for Vermeulen replacing Marillier and Carlisle replacing Friend.

The South African Line-up:

G.Smith
H.Gibbs
G.Kirsten
J.Kallis
N.McKenzie
J.Rudolph
M.Boucher
S.Pollock
A.Hall
P.Adams
M.Ntini

A very good team well selected, ought to win the match.

The Toss:

The South Africans won the toss and elected to field. A very good decision. Smith probably wanted to take full advantage of the moisture.

At Lunch

Zimbabwe are in a difficult position as they are struggling at 112 for the loss of 8 wickets. The opening bowlers made full use of the moisture as the batsmen found the ball leaving their bat, straight to the fielders after an edge. The batsmen found it difficult to hold on as they lost control of their shots.

The match:

The South Africans took control of the match right from the start as Zimbabwe lost their first wicket in the first ball itself. Pollock bowled a superb bowl to edge Ebrahim to a fielder at silly point. The score 0/1. Then Vermeulen was caught in the slips when he was at 5. The score 13/2. Carlisle and Flower put up a longer partnership till Carlisle was also caught at silly point when he was at 13. The score 32/3. At this point Pollock had bagged three wickets already and was looking threatening. Then Flower and Rennie teamed to make just 7 runs as Flower departed at 19. The score 39/4. Another superb partnership between Taibu and Rennie worth 20 was put up till Taibu was leg before. The score 59/5. when the score was 66 Streak found himself run out after just making 1 run. Then came the most vital partnership as Ervine teamed with Rennie to make 44 runs together. Rennie was caught at the slips by McKenzie when he was at 32. the score 109/7. and in the next ball itself Blignaut went for an impossible second run and was run out at 1. The score 110/8. After making 2 more runs the umpire called for lunch break with Ervine at 23 and Price at 2. The score 112/8.

As for South Africa their openers have made a steady start with Smith (41), Gibbs (38), Kirsten (28) and Kallis (30*) making vital contributions to the total.

The match:

After Lunch the partnership of Ervine and Price continued as they made 22 runs together. In the end Ervine was leg before at 25. The score 132/9. after 4 more runs were made, Price missed an on-drive shot and was bowled by Hall at 24.Hondo remained not out without even having a single ball at crease. The score 136 all out. And as the second Innings started, Gibbs and Smith started off and were steady start and played with confidence. Together they put up 83 runs on the scoreboard. The Zimbabweans took a sigh of relief when Gibbs was caught at 38 and Smith was caught at 41. The scores, 83/1 and 89/2. But then Kirsten and Kallis teamed together to make 71 runs. Till Kirsten was run out at 28. The score 160/3. At the end of the day at Crease are Kallis at 30 and McKenzie at 1 and the score 164/3.

At Lunch Day 2

Zimbabwe have finally struck gold after getting hold of the better side of South Africa as they managed to restrict them to 189 as well as take 9 of their wickets in 63 overs. Price, Hondo and Ervine were the ones to cause the destruction to the South African Line-up.

The match:

The Zimbabweans returned to the pitch for the second day more confidently. Although The South Africans were at a good score of 160/3, they didn?t stand any longer as they lost 6 wickets after making only 29 in the session. The demolition began as McKenzie was found Run Out with just a few inches distance between the bat and the crease. The score 178/4. Kallis was very aggressive and lost his wicket in a lofted on drive which landed safely in Ervine?s hand. The score 182/5. Then it was a series of Leg before, as the lower Order misjudged the spins and found themselves going back to the pavilion. The scores 183/6, 183/7, 184/8. Pollock and Adams lasted long on the field but ddnt make much runs in their long partnership which included a lot of dot balls. Then a change in the bowling was seen as Ervine came in for Hondo and that troubled Adams stability as he too misjudged a swing and was leg before. The score 189/9. Pollock and Ntini were at the crease with Pollock at 4 and Ntini at 0 with the score at 189/9.

At Tea, Day 2

The South Africans have ended their innings and Zimbabwe are struggling at 44 for the loss of 6 wickets. The pitch that had helped the Zimbabwean bowlers is now troubling the Zimbabwean batsmen. At tea they are 17 runs short. Can they make it and manage an innings loss?

The match:

The South African?s last wicket didn?t stand long as Ntini was also Leg before to Ervine. The score 197/10. The South Africans were having a short lead of 61 runs. But then the pitch started changing colors as it started favoring the South Africans, The Zimbabweans lost their wickets in a steady pace as they couldn?t manage to hold a good partnership. The pitch and the sudden appearance of Rudolph was enough for the Zimbabweans losing wickets in short interval, they are at a difficult position. Beginning off with the wicket of Vermeulen who edged an on-drive to the slips for an easy catch to Kirsten. The score 1/1. Then the downfall continued as wickets fell off with scores at 11/2, 13/3, 37/4, 39/5 and 43/5. At tea The Zimbabweans were at 44/5 with Taibu at 3 and Ervine yet to score.

End of 3rd Innings, Day 2

The Zimbabwean Innings have ended at 64, 41 minutes after tea. The Arrival of Adams was enough for the lower order as they struggled to make runs. The pitch was favorable for the bowlers and that favor made the batsmen miss their shots and were leg before. Infact 7 of the 10 wickets was leg before. The only thing that one can say is that the South Africans have victory in sight. Also Rudolph got a well deserved five wicket haul.

The match:

The sixth wicket also fell as Taibu was leg before to Rudolph at the score 51. The score 51/7. The others also went away in the same fashion with scores of 53/8, 57/9. The last wicket just managed to have a lead of 3 runs till Hondo was leg before to Adams. The score at the end of the innings was 64 with Price not out at 6.

South Africa require 4 runs to win with 10 wickets remaining and within 3 Days and 1 session remaining
They win. What a dissapointment. And that also just four runs required if i win, snakes will have legs.

Eng of Test Match

The South Africans have won the one match test Series of the Zimbabwe?s Tour of South Africa by nine wickets. South Africa requiring just 4 runs to win the match on the beginning of their innings, were surprised when Smith went away in the first over. They probably expected an easy win but were cut short when Smith was dismissed. It was Gibbs however in the Fourth over who put the four to grab victory.

The match:

Nothing much to be said though, Smith went away right on the first ball when he mistook a ball straight at stumps as a ball going away from the stumps. He padded up and was to his disappointed given leg before to Streak. The score 0/1. However it was the fourth over that saw victory to South Africa as Gibbs hit a good shot to the fence for four and secure victory for the South Africans.

Man Of The Match: Ervine for his wonderful Batting and Bowling performance.

Reporter: And off to sports. Zimbabwe have lost their test match against South Africa which took place at Cape Town. The South Africans took the match into their hands right in the start. After Zimbabwe made 146 runs in their first innings, South Africans posted a better score for then to chase taking their lead onto 61 runs. The Zimbabweans had a poor second Innings as they posted 64 runs leaving South Africa four runs short of victory. South Africa lost one of their wickets before victory. Ervine was named Man of the Match for the match. The next time the to teams would meet would be at Centurion for the first ODI of the tour.

The recent showers of rain have drenched Centurion as it is expected by the pitch experts that the pitch at Centurion would be wet and slow.

They shouldn?t have lost the wicket. Lets see the ODI?s screens coming up
