2nd Match, Group B: Eagles v NSW at Delhi

Anyone notice that in Phil Hughes's short stay that he'd actually changed his technique a little? Doesn't have that pronounced movement of his left foot towards the leg-side anymore. Didn't stop him playing a terrible shot, but he's certainly not closing his body off as much anymore. Good to see he's gone away and improved his pretty terrible technique. Immense talent, but had an awful technique.

Such an awful technique that he churrned out centuries at will last year. When you will lounge room experts give Hughes' technique a break?

Great win for NSW.

Still needs to work on their batting though.

Its hard to see what more they can work with on the batting. Probably the only ones that could improve are Hughes and Warner. The rest were striking at over 130 all getting out trying to up the run rate.

Yea because he looked so good during the ashes right? It was only a matter of time before someone figured out how to bowl to him. If he want's to have a decent test career he'll have to change a few things with his batting, namely his shot selection.

Normally I'd agree, but Mickey Arthur and South Africa admitted they had NO idea where to bowl at Hughes and once they saw Flintoff and Harmison bowl short and straight the penny dropped. Only a few months late for the Saffers though :)

Going back to this game. Simon Katich was class and was the only guy who looked good with the bat ALL night. Quiney was OK too but Katich was awesome in his stay.
