I took my seat post off and cleaned it then oiled it, but my bike still squeaks it was worth a try though so do appreciate it @Survivor!

sorry it didn't help,there's quite a few things it could be I always go for the easiest first

It's going in the bike shop, got a feeling it's coming from the bottom bracket area while it's in the shop I'll go back to my swimming which I enjoy as much as cycling.

My bike no longer squeaks, it's had grease applied to the fittings, it moves better too!

think I'll apply some grease to my fittings,see if it makes me move better

I came off my bike yesterday, landed on my arm and whacked my knee no serious injuries but got mud splashed over my clothes and face!

I did about 5 miles today on my bike, since getting it at Christmas I've never felt so fit!

Only just heard about Chris Froome crashing into a wall because he took his hands off his handlebars to blow his nose . I'd never ride no handed.

He was doing ~ 35mph but thankfully should make full recovery
