Further to my comment last night, when freezing in career mode it actually occurs in the wide angle shots of the ground at the end of simulating to career player. I also tried a few more times to play this particular game this evening and had the same problem with freezing occur.

You've hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't perhaps rate the games understanding of the shot you're trying to play at 9/10. I would perhaps say 7/10, 8/10 if I felt kind. But motion plus is required on the next version to take it forward. I needs to get the full range of options and teams...
