Australia tour of Pakistan - March/April 2022

Pakistan is the number 1 country in PAKISTAN! There you go, my friend.

For me, the highlight of this thread was your post on Babar. That should tell you how exciting this series was.

The test series was boring indeed no matter if Pakistan would have won, the status would remain same due to lifeless wickets, however still the public has been happy that Test Cricket is back in Pakistan with full swing. However, the One day Series has been good. High Scoring matches and the last one was pure one day cricket to bowled a team out in 211 runs and winning it convincingly. Indeed it has been good for us as well as for the World Cricket. Pitches in sub-continent are like this in the shorter format. So that's not an issue.

Regarding your first comment, where did that come from? For every countrymen, his country is indeed his/her proud. So chill :)

Absolutely no offense meant but why do people, regular or not owe a comment of appreciation when some side does well? South Africa for instance played spectacularly well in their 2nd test to continue New Zealand's barren run over them and yet they did not have a single thread for their entire series. The current Bangladeshi tour of South Africa where they've yet again played wonderful cricket has no thread either. It has got very less attention in comparison to their achievements too.

Couldn't personally post my thoughts on the test series owing to a busy schedule. I do think it is wonderful that the Pakistani side has finally got their top three working well and believe they'll go far in the next WC if they find a couple of hitters in the middle order. I also don't think this is as weak an Aussie side as has been proclaimed because of the majority of their starting XI missing. Realistically the only fringe ones I wouldn't bother with in the near future are McDermott and Abbott but the former has also been very good in this series. Finch's probably the one who needs to go right now, Head's shown that he's got the goods to replace him (for quite sometime) and he's a solid captain too. Straight swap makes too much sense to not be made.

Fair enough but kinda found it strange that when Pakistan was on losing side, posters were here. So no offense. I take your comment in good spirit.

That was me providing you with the validation you were seeking.

Mate, I'm in the IPL thread making fun of Dhoni and hoping Livingstone will replace Modi Ji! If that is not chill, I don't know what is.

Perhaps the blame should go to Pakistan Cricket team for not bringing their A-game when people had time to post about the game? :lol

Cool, I did not follow IPL after the 1st edition. Obviously, when Pakistani players have not been there so my interested is limited.

Lol who cares mate :) and when you cherish good cricket, free time comes up to you I think.

Anyhow, looking forward to the Only T20 International today.

Talking about Pakistan ODI squad, even though we won the 3rd match convincingly, the lower middle order looked pretty shallow. It was surprising they dropped Saud Shakeel and inducted Asif Ali in place of him. With this squad, they are literally playing with two proper batsmen those are Imam and Babar and rest are Relu-Kattas.

We need solid middle order batters to strengthen the batting line-up.

Similarly we are following the IPL as Indian players are a plenty and our interest in this series especially the ODIs which count for 'nothing' is limited. Test series we had some interest because of WTC points.

On another note, how good is this Pakistan batting lineup looking nowadays? It is wonderful to see Babar Azam go from strength to strength. Easily the best batsman currently. Also I really like Mohammad Rizwan from the time he played that innings against us in the T20 world cup game. Prior to that I hadn't seen him bat but after that I have been follwing his games and have become a fan of sorts.

I'm not gay but I want to live in a log cabin in the woods with Babar Azam. We won't ever have sex, but there will be a simmering erotic undercurrent as I stand in the kitchen window watching him tighten his ass as he chops wood, shirtless, sweat pouring off his body. I'll run upstairs and m********e, the entire time forcing myself to think of someone else while my thoughts drift back to Babar Azam. I won't be able to climax and I'll eventually go back downstairs, angry. Sometimes we will look across the table and catch each other's eyes, and in that second, anything is possible, but we both deny ourselves and go back to what we were doing. One day one of us will die, and the other will bury him outside the log cabin. Then they'll go inside, pen a brief missive to their departed friend, and commit suicide, never able to deal with life without their one true platonic love.

Rizwan is a fighter. He has worked so hard to improve his batting. His will-power and faith in Allah has helped him a lot I believe. There was a time when his captain completely wrote him off from a T20 side in PSL. There you see him now, He took feedback as a challenge and kept on improving. He is indeed one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen in World Cricket these days. He has raised the bar of performance so much that Sarfraz or any other need to really play out of skin to make a room. At present, there is no replacement for Rizwan.

There was a time when his captain completely wrote him off from a T20 side in PSL.
And now he himself has no place in the team.

Azhar Ali? Dwayne Bravo? Brendon McCullum? Imad Wasim? Eoin Morgan? Mohammad Amir?

He's played under a lot of captains until he became one himself in the PSL. :p

It was Imad I think who gave that statement and rightly so Rizwan used to be tuk tuk before. He has changed his game. He is one of the fine examples of batsmen that have overcome their limited abilities and performed with their commitment and will-power, I consider Steve Smith as one of those players as well.

Aussies deserved to win the only T20 Game. Pakistan was literally playing with one proper batsman who was Babar Azam. There were 3 relu kattas in the team namely Ifitkhar, Khushdil, and Asif Ali. These three players are never bankable. The team management tried to make a middle order from this lower middle order batsmen who are never sure when they will perform. Rizwan is a keeper batsman and Fakhar is a slogger. Technically speaking, Pakistan was only playing with Babar Azam in batters lol.

In terms of bowling line, There is too much on Shaheen's plate. Hasan Ali is still there and Rauf always go for plenty. Poor show by Pakistan in the T20 game.
