Bangladesh tour of New Zealand 2022

Not possible to view the match here in India if you are not an Amazon Prime Subscriber, but thankfully Prime's YouTube channel uploaded the daily highlights. I did not follow the game much but was taking a lot at the end of day's score on all match days. I could see this coming on Day 1 when NZ were 250-odd with 5 wickets down. I felt anything under 290 is worth giving a shot if you are Bangladesh after how the wicket played out late in the day. But I saw NZ score past the 330-mark and I felt this is gone out of hands particularly with Jamieson, Southee, Boult & Wagner to bowl at Bangladesh. That start provided by Shadman and Joy which was taken forward by Shanto was perhaps the time when these guys seized the control of the game. With Liton's knock, New Zealand were now on the back foot straight away! Then that spell from Ebadot Hossain came into play. And I was certain when I saw the score at the end of Day 4 that Bangladesh was winning this one. And they eventually did!!! :yes

The way NZ is batting, seems like they are out to prove a point. If this effort is backed up by the bowlers as well, NZ might win big

Looks like my double dip in a cheeky vcash bet on Bangladesh will backfire lol.

I've never seen Latham play this brutally in a long long time, if ever at all in tests. Those off-side shots were absolutely crunched. And all of this is on a pitch that looks no different from the outfield and had the same man say that he would prefer to bowl first.

Well, it looks like Ebadot and Bangladesh had their one with the cricketing gods and things will now return to normal

The one moment encapsulating this was when Will Young was dropped off Ebadot's bowling and then not only did the fielder overthrow for a four after the batsmen had run for three but it was Ebadot the bowler who had to scamper off to the boundary with a desperate dive in failure on the rope after being extremely annoyed at the catch being dropped in the first place. The whole sequence resulted in seven runs.

And the next time Young got runs off Ebadot, there was another overthrow that resulted in five runs.

Absolute village cricket. The kind only possible when the gods forsake you.

My my! Bangladesh proving that the previous win was probably a fluke. This is brutal from New Zealand. With the start that Bangladesh have gotten, pretty sure they are hurtling towards an innings defeat.

Given the dominant position and time permitting, would love to see NZ not enforce the follow on and let R.Taylor have another go, maybe have him open or come in at #3
