As you can see therefore certain players have individual faces and others (most of the Indian squad for example) rely on generic ones. What I'm wondering is if we could add individual players to the squad, work out their xml and add it to the root directory. Not actually as far fetched as it sounds...
What info I need from other people is how to calculate the location for Dravid so we can add his face. As you can see H.Streak = 0007236, Murali = 0015715

This could be the way to add individual faces for every player and bypass the .ros problems of assigning faces.

In the last couple of days we seem to be making some serious progress,weve managed to edit player attributes(ive also posted a pic in the editing player profiles thread where ive edited pathans batting att.) and now thanks to burma finest it seems face editing seems possible(keeping fingers crossed).Credit goes to all the patchers in PC.

I will just explain how the played id is calculated. If you take shane warne his player id (his first 2 bytes) is FE 7A = 254 122
(122 * 256) + 254 = 31486

If your hex editor is capable of displaying C data types, position your cursor on the first byte of warne and look at the value of 16-bit integer(short integer).

Ok, good new and bad news.
The good news is that I have complete confirmation that the player face is not controlled by the .ros.
Bad news I'm still not sure what it is controlled by...

When I changed Flintoff's player code in the faces list to Dravid's, Dravid's face stayed the same but Flintoffs became a generic one instead. Adding Dravid to the list didn't work either as he was still using his old face rather than the game searching for a new one for him.
I have some other ideas but I'm a bit stuck atm.

More good news and bad news.
Bad news is that face isn't controlled by the player ID (sense we're running out of options).
Good news is that it is controlled by the players position in the .ros as a whole

I can now change player faces by swapping people round. In other words if you copy the entire of Andrew Flintoff's profile over Rahul Dravid's, Flintoff will now use Dravid's face. This obviously means that we can 'swap' players with shared faces with players with unique ones although there will only be limited players to swap with (the list above in fact). The person swapped with will, of course, inherit the old face. Ideally I'd like to find how to control which position has which face but I've not done that yet. Even more ideally I'd like to add more faces and assign unique ones to everyone...

What I need:
A list of all the players you can think of who use the same face and the number of the .big file. Then I can start working on a roster to allow them to have unique faces.

Great job! Among the Indian players, Sehwag, Pathan and Zaheer use the same face. Gambhir and Agarkar use the same face! Yuvraj and Ganguly use the same face! I think Kaif also shares his face with some one else.

Can some more people help barmyarmy? i would love for this to be cracked!
