Cricket 19 General Discussion

I didn't mean anything against you in what I've said @Dutch, I was just saying its frustrating for us who aren't in the know and that's only because BA doesn't release any information about anything, and I was reinforcing what you just said, that's its not up to you to do anything, including peoples inquiries regarding CR19 or anything to do with BA and its products. I hardly mean to rant but I've just been replying to the discussion whilst venting my annoyance at BA which I apologize for, this is more an issue I should post on a BA forum.

Is there any way to export the stats/scorecards OUTSIDE the game and access them without having to open the game?
I have seen some games like Fortnite do it, where you just submit your username and they display all your stats like number of kills and stuff. Is there anything like that for Cricket 19? I love to check my past matches scorecards and statistics but it's a chore to open the game again and again, not to mention some stats like wagon wheel are lost after you complete the match. If there is any method to save and/or export match stats for future viewing, please do reply. Thank you!

I might be wrong but I don't think there's any program that does it.The only thing you can do is take screenshots of your scorecards etc.

At this present state, Ashes cricket 17 seems to be perfect game on or above hard / Veteran difficulty. The ball hitting sounds are beautiful. I went back to playing ashes on Xbox one s

My suggestion would be turn off the ball marker (the red/green/yellow/blue) circle around the ball. Just go with the pitch marker (I'd suggest the black colour not the colour coded option) Reasoning being:

I noticed in DBC 17 I wasn't doing anything other than reacting to the colour. Red - back foot, everything else - front foot. It is, in my opinion, a button prompt and completely removes the skill of judging length, which is a key part of batting. Fine if you're a casual player but I like to have a more in depth experience. And, like you say, it can lead to you not always playing the shots you think you should. That can still happen without the ball marker of course but it feels like a mistake by you not a mistake based on your reaction to a guide given by the game. You're more likely to learn from that mistake too.

You have to actually work out how the ball is bouncing off the pitch. This is more cricketing skill than being able to react to the colour of a circle. There is a lot more variation on certain pitches and you will, as a batsman does IRL, work out when to play off the front and back foot.

Personally, I like having as little clutter on the screen as possible - same reason I'd like to have the bowling hud disappear after I've selected my delivery. It's far more enjoyable to bowl when you are doing the footwork and release based on the bowler movement not on the position of a meter.

You might consider changing the leave button, I've always liked it as R3. My thumb is always on there so it is easier and quicker to play a leave than moving to another button.

It might take a bit of getting used to, maybe have a go in the practice mode, but it's such a better game without the ball marker.
Finally, trying this. Played my first over in test, as India. Wow, this does make it challenging, without having to go to very hard! It feels even better, playing wise. Though, lost two wickets in the first over, genuine edges! 2-2!

Hey guys. Which stadiums are the best to download? I’m mostly looking for India and Pakistan stadiums.

I'm so glad so many have given this a go, even better that they've found it to be an improvement. It's quite a change. If you've always used the ball marker you soon realise how dependent you were on it and have to rethink and adjust a lot. But, I think it's worth sticking to it.

I've actually been making a few subtle tweaks to my batting sliders and have found it to be even more difficult (without being impossible) I'll have to share those. I was playing yesterday and completely misjudged a short one (on a very soft pitch) and had my middle stump knocked down. Been bowled a few times recently in a completely natural way (poor footwork, bad timing etc).

Since starting with the pitch marker I have had to start playing much straighter , as in real life , I was out lbw several times to spinners playing round straight ones which I could get away with with ball marker , and as mentioned in a previous post I play a lot more shots around the ground , but I have been playing ball marker since day 1 of Don Bradman so still getting used to it after a couple of weeks

it’s stuff like this that has completely changed the game for me. My second ashes test I batted over 400 but this time I’m on 317/7 so a massive difference. Makes you think a lot more.

A quick Q for everyone

Do you keep the "pace min max speed" in the physics sliders at default or slightly increased ?

What is your sweet spot??

I keep it at 50 min and 75 max with aerial marker at 10.. Feels really good to play with the extra zing in the pace.. Marker at 10 neither makes me pre meditate nor allows me to smack and score boundaries easily.. Its like perfect spot.. Also allows me to leave a lot more.. Test cricket definitely feels like a proper test now..
