Also. I've never shined the ball. Am I doing that wrong. Or do the auto shines my bowler does at the top of his mark count?

It is not a game breaker. I just like the game to be as realistic as possible. I’m not picking a fight with anyone here. From what I have seen it doesn’t make sense that one player gets wear on the ball and another player not.
