PlanetCricket will be running a full competition and a split up one. This is the full one where the top 3 will win prizes. The full one goes for the whole tournament so make sure you choose your side wisely.
The cut-off date for this is 19th Feb 2011, moment before the first ball is bowled.

Transfers
You can transfer in each of your reserves up to the 25th match (Wed Mar 9, Group B - India v Netherlands). Once you make that transfer it is final and you cannot bring that player back into the game. All the points from your previous player will be replaced with your new player. e.g. Batsmen 1 (10 points) replaced with Reserve Batsmen 1 (100 points), your team will have an additional 90 points but you cannot transfer Batsmen 1 back into your side.

Injuries
If your player is out for the tournament and it is before the 25th match then you can replace that player with any player in the game (outside of your reserves).

It's going to be tough to create one single team from these players.

Also keep in touch with the news about the injured players.

He forgot to put one I guess. Just go to the top of the page, to the extra tab thingy, and fantasy cricket is the first one down from that.

This looks interesting. Participating in a PlanetCricket Fantasy Cricket game after a long time and certainly hoping for some good results. :)

Umar Akmal is added as batsman, next to him being a wicketkeeper.

Just a dumb question since I have been out of touch.

When you say "You can transfer in each of your reserves" does it mean we can do the substitutions in any order. For example,

My batsman 4 gets injured and is ruled out of world cup, if I want to replace him, is it mandatory to replace him with my reserve batsman 1 or can i replace him with reserve batsman 2?

He'll be replaced by Reserve batsman 1 until unless he is also injured.

I think we made it so that for this game, the player doesn't have to be injured to be replaced?

Yeah because if we are allowed to use transfers i don't think that rule (replacing with reserve 1 first if any player is injured) makes sense.

You can bring in anyone from your reserves which means you can change the formation of your side to get that player in i.e. Replace Batsmen 4 with Reserve Bowler 2 which means you now have 4 bowlers and 4 batsmen. The injury rule won't be used in this series, it's up to you to change your injured player out. The separate competitions will have the normal injury rule in place.
