Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Sai Sudharsan's career has been a treat to follow so far. Broke out in the TNPL, set about establishing himself last season for TN and GT before exploding this season for TN in Vijay Hazare and Ranji Trophies. Looks like he's carried on that form in the IPL so far. It'll take him a while before he becomes a serious contender for an Indian team role but he's the perfect type of player that can exist in the conditions created by IPL; a really talented youngster who can keep improving and remain in the game because there are sporting factors and a financial incentive to do so.

Gujarat dont look like they can make a mistake, do they? They have possibly the best finishers in IPL with Miller, Tewatia and Rashid Khan! Also Alzarri has been exceptional in both games of Gujarat so far (he was the one that triggered CSK's meltdown in the opener) and acc to the commentators, he is unhittable at the death. With him and Joshua Little, they have a potent death bowling combo too while Shami is the Powerplay striker. They have a really good allround side to defend their title.

If Buttler couldn't open for some reason, they could have opted for Padikkal. Opening with Ashwin doesn't make any sense.

RR v PBKS Match 8: Sanju Samson played really good in my pov. But he should have timed his shot. However, good 42 runs for the RR during their chase of 198 runs. Let's see what others have to offer tonight!

3 wickets haul by Australian cricketer, Nathan Ellis! Parag goes to the dug out after making only 20 runs with two sixes and a four in his inning of 12 balls.
