Last Movie You Watched

All I’ve heard is that the villain is based on a certain leader and now I wonder if it’ll ever see the light of the day here legally.
Yeah, I think that's more likely the reason Netflix pulled out rather than it being 'too gritty' for Indian audiences.

To be honest I was sold when I only knew it was a film called Monkey Man starring Dev Patel with Jordan Peele's backing. The more I learn the more I want to see.

Has there been any noise?

Noticed the release date being mentioned as a placeholder now and unofficial rumours of it being delayed as much as possible.

Nothing official as of yet but like @wasteyouryouth mentions it’s not a coincidence that Netflix backed away from it.

Re-watched The Nice Guys last night, after seeing Ryan Gosling talking about how it's unlikely to ever get sequel, still very good film.

At the weekend I watched Delicatessen again, French post-apocalyptic comedy-horror. Still love it; first time I saw it on a VHS borrowed from the uni library with adverts cause it had been recorded off the TV. :lol Probably going to rewatch some more Jean-Pierre Jeunet films.

I have been scared to see this thread pop up in new post section for the past few days.
I am worried I will see @Na Maloom Afraad posting stuff like
"Once again Snyder saves movies/Netlfix"
"Rebel Moon is how you create a story"
"If Zack asks for my kidney, I will give it to him"
"Kevin Feige should learn from watching Rebel Moon"

I watched Late Night With the Devil. The premise is perhaps better than the execution.. Felt a bit muddled at what it was trying to do. David Dastmalchian is very good in it though. Would still recommend it if you fancy a slightly different horror movie.

Would not pass the ahmedleo horror test though.

I watched the Mad Max films the other week. Really good with Fury Road being just a masterpiece, but I knew that already.

Watched some dumb ass horror movies too most of which I can't remember. Although, Psycho Goreman was quite fun and silly - more sci-fi than horror really.

I've only seen the first mad Max and Fury road I liked them both

2 (The Road Warrior) is probably my next favourite after Fury Road. I'd only seen the original Mad Max once before but I enjoyed it much more this time. Beyond Thunderdome has some good stuff too although it's a little weaker in the middle.

They're all pretty amazing from a technical action/stunt perspective.

I'm very excited to see Furiosa.
