The Leicestershire CCC have announced the appointment of Shravan Holt (swacker) as new Director of Cricket after a disappointing season last summer. He was brought in by Leicestershire in April in the newly-created role of managing director of cricket.
Phil Whitticase, who represented the county as a player before replacing former coach Tim Boon, was asked to leave because of his poor run.
The first task will be to work with players ahead of the county cricket in summer. The door is always open to new players and we will be looking to add further depth to the squad over the coming weeks.
I look forward to working with coaching staff as well as meeting all the players. The first match begins on April 20 at Cardiff where we will play against Glamorgan.
