Mar 18 : New Zealand vs Sri Lanka

Either that, some serious bias, or hes got a cheeky bet on Sri Lanka. I wonder what would have happened if it was Murali or Mendis, gone without even going upstairs I reckon..
tbh a "cheeky bet" is a far more damnable offence.

Yeah he definitely should've walked, and that no-ball looked pretty legal.

Doull should probably watch it though, hes not working for Sky its an Indian broadcaster and saying an Indian umpire should be sacked wont go down too well

It was legal. Foot landed behind the line and slid forward so it looked like it was a no ball.

Hopefully this is like the time Grant Elliot was run out even when he collided mid pitch with Sidebottom, and Collingwood didn't retract his appeal but NZ went on to win.

I'm pretty worried here, 2 down at the 30th over even at not a great run rate. They can still easily get 270-280 and add in our death bowling problems.

Well we have seen many high scoring games in this WC but look at Mumbai's Record average 1st innings total here is just 227

----------

so SL will surely get better than this

When we don't have two out of our three best wicket taking options along with Southee, wickets were always going to be a problem, and then when you have umpires like.....

Three bowlers down in our last three matches, what's happening? It looks like he's going to continue though. Nope, he's gone as well.

obviously, yes, he should have been out. bad call from the umpire.

but wtf? he should have walked? when does anyone ever walk? none of you would be saying that if it was your teams best batsman in the semi final or something. joke.

Jeez Styris looks like he's ready for the retirement home.

Are these commentators on drugs? Taylor would've accepted chasing 270-280 at the toss?

Styris is still playing ?! Wow.

Dear Murali - Please stop playing for the love of the god!

it's arguable whether sri lanka have the best spin attack in the tournament, what I think does seem apparent though is, as a unit it's the most likely to take wickets.

it's not just the spinner himself. it's the wicket-keeper to spin, the slip fielder to spin, the part-timers, the know-how and influence of the guy leading them, the guys in close. bangladesh, south africa and pakistan all came with strong spin attacks too, but they can't rival that collection of guys working with them.
