He is a talented guy. He needs a proper chance.

I don't get this either. Shami got one chance in which he got hammered but if he was dropped for that sole reason, then that doesn't make sense. Also, Yadav deserves the same amount of chances that Shami should. When we have two able fast bowlers warming the bench, what's the point of bringing in a new comer?

Shastri and Co mind you have ZERO plan going around. Its all about friendship and co at the moment from the look of it. I am not saying Shami or Yadav will be in bad books of Shastri and Co, I am just saying there is no planning and management. Also what is the fascination with Dinesh Kartik? He isnt exactly a half decent player. Dhoni, Ganguly always wanted youngsters even if it meant losing few matches or series, for Kohli its all about winning with a strong team.

Yeah Umesh himself picked up four wickets in the last game that he played in. Clearly no planning whatsoever by the management. Both Shami and Umesh deserved more games instead they're basically tossed out of the side in favour for Thakur, who I believe should have not come into the side if that meant dropping Shami or Umesh. At least perhaps Bhuvi could be rested and Thakur comes as the replacement but again that will never happen under Kohli and the management.

Seems like Prithvi Shaw is in the scheme of things playing the warmup against New Zealand as an opener alongside KL Rahul also he has not been included in the U19 Asia cup squad which he was supposed to lead. Perhaps they want him to play first class cricket in India and will be interesting to see how this Ranji season pans out for Shaw and his development as a cricketer.
