Seeing as Morgan is left handed, the ball is unlikely to be going down the leg side everyone! :p
But is it going to hit the off stump...?

I'm the umpire there. Still have not yet decided on the decision. Though it'll come quickly.

Last Ball of the OPL

Grand Final
Southern Stallions v Northern Eagles

Last Ball of the OPL!

Umpiregivesit.png

THE UMPIRE HAS GIVEN IT! Well, well that it is an exceptionally brave decision in these circumstances. What a match we have had here, it has gone right down to the wire and still we cannot separate these two teams. This will go down as a classic match, and none of the massive crowd at AMI Stadium here today will ever forget this game. There have been so many twists and turns, at various times in the match both times appeared to have the match won, but always they clawed back and the match has finished as a tie.

After having the game within their grasp, the Stallions are gutted as they leave the field, in stark contrast to the jubilant Eagles

Indeed Virtual Eye confirms that the umpire was justified in giving Morgan out, but look how close it was! Just millimetres between the Stallions winning with a scampered leg bye from the final ball, and the Eagles sharing the trophy with them...

What a match, what an advertisement for not only the OPL, but the game of cricket in general! The crowd gives both teams a standing ovation as they leave the field, and the players exchange hand-shakes as they meet on their way to the pavilion. These two teams have shown with the exhibition they have given us tonight that they are the most worthy teams of making the final, and indeed sharing the competition. The tournament is over, but the "Celebration of the Southern Summer" will go on, long into the night.

Join us again soon for the presentations and closing ceremony...

I'm going away for a week so you can have a week to let the drama set in :)

Wow....A thrilling tie yet again. Seriously, one of the best finales. The pendulum kept swinging

That was a fabulous match, one of the most interesting ever I've come across in stories section. Brilliant work and well done Eagles, they have done it.
