Can't disagree with Shahid. Somewhat surprised Rizwan hasn't been given captaincy in any format. I guess in tests he lost his place but he seems like a mainstay of the other sides.

He’s a mainstay in Tests again too, came back in the Boxing Day Test.
There’s rumours that Rizwan is very loyal to Babar, so he wouldn’t accept the captaincy.

Is Salman Butt coming back as well? After Imad and Amir, I thought that be the most logical choice for them- perhaps even replace Masood as Test captain :laughter:

Saw somewhere that Dizzy and Kirsten were coming in to be the new coaches.

If true, that’s a massive appointment. Gillespie is one of the best coaches around at the moment even if he couldn’t get South Australia to magically turn into a domestic powerhouse like some Aussie fans wanted.

Yes, a lot of talk about those 2. Earlier it was Watson, but he seems to have turned down the opportunity.

The only ask for a coach would be that he be given a free reign. This has plagued Pakistan over the years and could cause concerns in the near future as well.

Kirsten is confirmed as white-ball coach, Gillespie almost confirmed as red-ball coach, he resigned from his domestic position recently. Much better choices than Watson, but just gotta hope the tyrant Wahab Riaz lets them work properly
