He worked closely with the then coach Alan Donald and displayed decent results with the ball, working up high speeds in the matches. His batting technique was questionable as much as the experts could tell, but the way he was improving in his bowling made Australian selectors to review him before The Ashes. He then bowled his best innings spell against their own 2nd XI hence earning a spot in England's tour down under for the most prestigious cricket trophy. His first two matches could only fetch him 5 wickets at 36.4 apiece. Despite a mediocre debut, he gained attention with his control and the ability to extract bounce from the surfaces, the same what his close observers have always been saying. He generally brings his deliveries into the right hander at high speeds, and has a decent bouncer along with all other aggressive techniques a bowler can have. Experts believe that the 20 year old still has a long way to go consider himself in the best ranks of fast bowlers.

Profile

Australia's Nick Agger has a big reputation. He has been spoken about as potentially being one of the best batsmen in
the world, promise that he completely justified by being the star man in the World Cup, scoring no less than 348 runs at
an insane average of 174.

He ascended to the Test team after just eleven first-class games, and one century. He had already started his ODI career
with a bang, belting four fifties in five innings against India in alien conditions.

A silky timer of the ball who is blessed with infinite composure, he became the second consecutive Australian T20 captain
(after George Bailey) to lead the national team on debut when he took charge against England at the SCG on 27th of
December. He marked the occasion with a true captain's innings: a well-paced unbeaten fifty to overhaul the target set by
the old enemy.​
