Post your questions about the game here!

@Ross:You said that the game will allow to play directly out of the box ,then have you created all the players of all the teams or do we need to swap them for a better looking player?

I don't think they will be that ugly, but you can replace them if you find them that repugnant :p

No they won't, but it will be easy to download the "best" set of international teams with a single button press.

Highlights will be good especially in carrer mode and test matches to have a glimpse before start of another day in test match, even in carrer mode.

It would be especially useful in the career mode as a 'what's happened in the match so far' to set you up to what you need to do when batting/bowling after a lot of simulation.

That'd be pretty helpful too. What I thought of it was playing the same commentary (which breaks abruptly as the clips change in a highlights vid) which was played when that event actually occurred. But then that would get ruined with repetitive commentary (listening to "its up in the air and gone for a six" 10 times) or if the commentary system lacks the dynamism to sound realistic (CPU predicting outcomes and playing the perfect clip on time). Something for Cricket20 or something may be.

But what you said would be more effective. AI judging the state of the game and putting it out nicely through commentary. You could also have newspaper articles in future iterations. Imagine you winning with a century yourself and then reading an AI generated article on how you played the innings, the goods, the bads in the next day newspapers. That'd be just so awesome. Ross make a note of it please. This could drive many of us crazy if the game could judge your game and pass on the result through writings and stuff! :)

Jas, you can rename the players created by BigAnt in the game. You cannot delete them and you dont bother about deleting either, you want to rename them and yes you can.

Will there be legitimate seam movement as distinct from 'cut' in the game? Other games have gone by off this presumption that fast bowlers can bowl deliveries at 85mph that move like an off break or leg break. The more common movement off the pitch is with someone bowling with a seam up grip and it moving off the pitch in an almost random direction (e.g. Mcgrath and Asif) and certainly not 100% at will. This was something that EA Cricket 2005 and 07 implemented well on green pitches. It happened bloody rarely though and resulted in the keeper missing the ball and it going for four byes..

Couple of questions -

1) Any advances on a release date?
2) Any more news on the likelyhood of licensed leagues such as the English & Australian county cricket circuit?
3) Will there be a pitch marker when facing a bowler?
4) A career mode with updated features such as constantly moving averages and so on.

Cheers.

1. Only in my dreams(no)
2. No
3. No
4. Not 100% on this one, my guess is yes.

#2: Yes there will be English, Australian and South African domestic leagues. We're unsure of licenses though.

#4: Yes

The stuff with Cricket Australia over the Cricket Academy probably is a good hint that there's no Australian Domestic licences.

Do you think CA would work with two publishers (separate games) at the same time? It would lead to licensing related issues & disagreements regarding Aussie players between the publishers IMO.
