Post your system specs

here is mine
Intel Core 2 Quad Core CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHZ
2 GB Ram
ATI Redeon HD4650 (1 GB)
640GB Hard Drive Sata

Ok, am in the process of ordering a few more bits and bobs, and after that my system will have almost reached its peak until i can afford a new one.

I am getting a 4870 -1024 MB to replace my dual 2900xt's.

I am also getting an extra 1 GIG stick of Corsair XMS Ram at 800MHZ to take 3 up to 3 GIGS, and XP's limit.

And last, but not least my previous CPU cooling solution of Arctic Silver Pro 7, needs upgrading at i will look to increase my CPU speed from overclocked at 3.2ghz to 3.5ghz to help improve performance for the 4870.

After some searching, i wanted an easy to fit cooling solution that offered excellent performance, the Thermaltake CL-P0401 was the obvious choice.
I just hope it fits in my case. :upray

Vista Home Premium
Sony Vaio Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHZ
2 GB RAM

AMD 64 3000+ ~2.2Ghz (Overclocking from 2Ghz)
1GB RAM
80GB PATA HDD

I have the same cooler as you Sid, how you can achieve over 3.4ghz while keeping the processor under 60c on full load is beyond me.

Well his is the new 8000 series one, easily goes over 4.2 Ghz and yours is a 6000 series. 45nm vs 65nm technology, makes a lot of difference. Plus his motherboard's pretty solid too.

Yeah, E8500 is a really good overclocker. Funny how everyone seems to be jumping on the Quad core bandwagon, this one costed me twice the price of a 2.66 Ghz Quad model cause Dual core with high freq. still rules them all.

Oh I do now lol, just got this comp late Nov. Been playing the games that came with the comp got it 2nd hand from a guy.

I decided to change my order around a little from what i posted before. Instead of going for a reference 4870 1024MB, i decided to plump for the The HIS 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo Overclocked.

This meant i had to scrap the ram due to the extra cost for the card.

Yeah it really isn't the game for the current generation of hardware lol. Infact this is the second generation since Crysis came out, and we still can't play it on very high and reasonable resolutions! :p
