Nicked this from another forum but it's a surprsingly challenging thing to do. Here's how it goes;
Pick a keeper from any team, just to keep it simple.
Break the Premiership down into groups of four by league position.
Pick two players from each set of four teams, to make up a team of the season.
Groups go like so:
1 Man Utd
2 Liverpool
3 Chelsea
4 Arsenal
---
5 Everton
6 Aston Villa
7 Fulham
8 Tottenham
---
9 West Ham
10 Man City
11 Wigan
12 Stoke
---
13 Bolton
14 Portsmouth
15 Blackburn
16 Sunderland
---
17 Hull
18 Newcastle
19 Middlesbrough
20 West Brom
Hopefully more interesting to think about than just a standard best XI.
It is a surprisingly hard thing to pick because you have to make sacrifices in positions you don't want to. But here's mine anyway;
Reina
Johnson
Jagielka
Bramble
Baines
Gerrard
M.Taylor
Brunt
Gutierez (I'll be honest, he's the best player I could think of to fill the bottom 4 spot)
Beattie
Rooney
