Yep, I need a wixket, ASAP. Come on Otto, don't let me down!

Griffin and Hemmings on, the fastest and slowest bowlers in my side respectively. I really need Raza out!

End of Over 15: 74-2, runrate=4.93
Griffin 1-0-5-0
Raza* 39 (42 balls)
Saich 28 (41 balls)

Last Wicket: Sheikh c. Zafarullah b. Fieldwick 3 (FOW: 3/2)

Ominous partnership...

What does everyone else think? On a slow pitch, I'd say the Pingers are on top - just.

End of Over 20: 93-2, runrate=4.65
Hemmings 5-0-14-0
Raza* 46 (50 balls)
Saich 40 (63 balls)

RR's dropping a bit, good economical bowling by Hemmings.

EDIT -

20.2 W Griffin to Raza
The slower delivery has done for Raza, as he lobs the ball back into Griffin's hands for the simplest of catches. Raza shakes his head as he trudges back to the pavilion.

Gotcha! Don't let the new man get in...

EDIT 2 -

20.6 W Griffin to Saich
What a horrible decision from Saich, he's not offered a shot to that one and it struck him on the front pad. Zafarullah tells him where to go... back to the pavillion!

What an over! Both the set batsman dismissed! I'd say I'm on top again now :)

Jarrett 8-1-27-1
Leary* 35 (51 balls)
Alauddin 0 (1 balls)

Just came back from lunch to see the wicket fall. I'm pretty happy with the way this is going, hopefully I'll restrict you to 220/30, which I'd be fairly confident of chasing.

I'd be pleased with 230 - 40 I beat the TT Lions from a similar position.
EDIT -
42.4 1 Fieldwick to Alauddin Nicely flicked around to the deep mid wicket region.
And with that Alauddin passes his previous best of 8 :)

43.3 2 Jarrett to Leary
A great diving stop by Heath prevents that ball from rolling over the boundary. Leary will have to settle for two.
And that's his fifty! Well played.
Leary batting superbly

Ironically, I did too, chasing 243 :p What's your bowling attack like?

44.2 W Fieldwick to Leary
Charges the delivery, struck in the air but not very far, Purse takes the catch at mid wicket a few metres inside the circle.

That should hamper the acceleration in the last few overs.

2 Decent seamers, one in form spinner but my other 2 seamers are a bit dodgy.

No chance of 240 now :(

2 in the over -
44.5 W Fieldwick to Majid
Purse has pulled off a blinder. That ball looked like it was behind him when he caught it.

And another. Hopefully I'll skittle your tail now. Especially with Otto coming back.

End of Over 47: 218-7, runrate=4.64
Fieldwick 9-0-40-3
Rajpar* 7 (6 balls)
Alauddin 18 (25 balls)

So much for that plan...

EDIT -

47.1 W Otto to Rajpar
Goodness gracious! He won't like to look at the replay of that shot.

47.3 W Otto to Alauddin
Brilliant fielding by Mason. He backpedalled a long way and has caught him.

But then again...

48.1 W Fieldwick to Butt
That's plumb! The ball stayed low and struck the pad in line. The umpire was left with no other choice but to give him.

And the last one.

End of Over 49: 221-10, runrate=4.51
Fieldwick 9-0-40-4
Broomes* 1 (1 balls)

Great bowling by Fieldwick.

Ok people, what do we think?

In favour of FF,but you never know. The Pingers never really looked steady and were mainly catching up most of the time.Still anything could happen, very interesting first game to follow.

And we're off...

0.1 . Butt to Heath
Well forward, square leg quick to field the ball.

EDIT -

2.6 4 Butt to Mason
Nice shot, through the gap for 4!
2.5 . Butt to Mason
Good length ball outside off stump, shoulders arms and through to Alauddin.
2.4 4 Butt to Mason
Fullish ball well outside off stump, Mason angles the face and runs it away between the slips and gully, beats two fielders diving towards it simultaneously. The ball races away to the vacant third man boundary.
2.3 2 Butt to Mason
A top edge and the ball loops over Alauddin. Third man runs around to prevent them taking a third.

Mason looks in cracking nick.

End of Over 4: 29-0, runrate=7.25, reqrunrate=4.20 (221-10)
Broomes 2-0-15-0
Mason* 18 (13 balls)
Heath 11 (11 balls)

EDIT 2 -

4.4 6 Butt to Heath
Whack! Straight over the bowler's head!

These two put on an unbeaten 164 in my league match, looks like they're picking up here where they left off there.

End of Over 5: 38-0, runrate=7.60, reqrunrate=4.09 (221-10)
Butt 3-0-23-0
Mason* 19 (14 balls)
Heath 19 (16 balls)

Good start.

EDIT 3 - Spoke too soon

5.2 W Broomes to Heath
There is no sweeter sound in cricket than the sound of the bails clattering to the floor, so it's no wonder that Broomes is pleased. Bowled him!
