Who moderates the staff members?

Out of interest where do you get a good stick like that? I, err, need one for a friend.

If you rob Vcash from PC Vbank they you will surely get into Vjail.

Doubt mod police would stand in your way there...the bank stole all my vcash along with teh rest of you.

User, are you a Mod? Apparently, the Mod Police is programmed only to imprison Mods. So, you'll have to become a Mod en route to the prison.

Well.. Let's make you the Mod of cricket downloads section. Maybe that will be 'Jail' enough. :p

Some would argue that's a worse punishment than jail

Check your PMs ;)

MaD wasn't a mod either. And Abhas, Aditya is the newly appointed candidate.

I just wanna know does moderators have any power over staff members or they are considered equals? Who punishes the staff members for the offenses which result in infractions and bans to mere mortal members..

Most of the staff members are good but a few break rules more often than not. They can use the abusive language but you can;t or you will be infracted. Even if you try to use abusive words by changing a few alphabets, you would get infraction. They can talk off topic endlessly but if you do you would be warned to remain on topic and move on.

Then there are some who can't deal with Sachin Tendulkar. Mention Sachin's name and they would react as if potassium and water have been mixed :p
They would go to the thread of a tv show which doesn't air in their country and then ask them not to post about Sachin and then posting abusive remarks. Seriously, if you have such a big problem then why do you even bother going to that thread. Just ignore it.

Then there is the issue of Grammar. Sub continental members often made grammatical mistakes in their post 'coz English isn't their native language. But as long as the message is being forwarded and other person understands what he's trying to say , grammar shouldn't matter. Because main motive of language is communication. So a person should be warned/quoted only when his grammatical mistake are big and his post is not comprehensible.

JKartik made a nice suggestion of creating a separate thread for members who would like to talk in hindi/urdu. Except English restrictions, that thread should follow all the other rules regarding porn/racism/abuse etc. That might divert a lot of sub continent members to that thread and English member would wander around ashes thread resulting in less of fights. Coz posting about Sachin in Ashes thread would be useless and it would highly unlikely that anyone interested in ashes would do that. Similarly asking to talk in proper english in hindi/urdu chat thread would be stupid. Thus it might stop more members from leaving.

Last suggestion would be, I know this is highly unlikely but still i would say it. Create a subforum for Sachin. :p Move useless threads created about Sachin to that sub forum and create a Sachin Chat thread there. That owuld divert enormous posts to a single section :) Hence improving the quality of other sub forums.

They key is NOT to criticize the staff members. If you do criticize them, you'll be warned. Do it again, and you'll be banned. Goes against democratic society, but there you go. It's their website, and if you want to be a member here, you have to play by the rules that they set out.

Instead, you have to deal with them over private PMs. But DON'T criticize them in public.
