WI to host 2010 World T20

WI is a not so interesting place for cricket,World Cup 07 was a major flop over there,they should have gone for Aus/NZ becase the World Cup in Aus is in 2015,so that would have been the ideal place.

Is that a compliment?? Or you care to expound on your statement?

Why? If they win, WI is ideal, otherwise, it's nowhere near in your site for cricket? Of course, lots of bad incidents happened, but WI World cup had some great matches.

What are you really saying or trying to say? Are you saying that because India and Pakistan did not play to get beyond the point they got that it was a cost financially to the ICC?? What economic wizardry have you used to make such analysis? Or are you saying even if the grounds were filled it still meant nothing to the revenues earned?
The ICC put in place countless security measures, that is what did a disservice to the WC07 not the departure of India and Pakistan!
If you want to say what am thinking you are trying to get to say, then just have the testicular fortitude and say it: You are playing this out to size, we should not host because we do not have stadiums with 50,000 capacity, based on that fact then we (West Indies) cannot maximize gate revenues, I agree, but that is why their is Marketing, Promotions, TV Rights etc...., the Caribbean (West Indies) is good a place to host any and every ICC event just as any of the other 8 ICC Member countries, and much safer than a couple of them are presently.
So I say we welcome the event, it is up to us and the ICC to take lessons from WC07 and help make 2010 WT20 great!!!

I doubt that Wc 07 cost the ICC financially as they had already sold the Tv rights as well as the in stadia advertisement rights in the year 2002 itself.
If anyone made a loss,it was the tv channels in the Indian subcontinet as their revenues dipped substantially owing to the exits of India and Pakistan,and also a washout of the potential Ind-Pak game.

Most of the ppl in the Subcontinet did not watch entire games due to the time difference,games started at 20-30 IST and went on early in the morning.

Other than that,the WI seems fine to me. And as rabs put it,the death of Woolmer,was the lowest point of the WC.

West Indies VS Australia 11/11 Was one of the greatest, after It Rain for partly the whole Day. We here in Barbados had one of great 11/11 match ever. it was entertaining from Beginning to End.

We can see in that match that WI can have a great place for 2020.
Mainly the same place where the Worst ever Finals was Host, Yet we had one of the greatest entertainment from a Rank 1 Team and Rank 8 team in the World in the 11/11.

and a great skoop off B Lee from W Perkin the shot off the day :happy .
