Result: Australia won by 48 runs (D/L Method)
Series: Australia advances to the final
Man of the Match: A Symonds.

Australia booked themselves into the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup with a comprehensive Duckworth Lewis affected 48 run win against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka had their moments, making Australia's top order struggle on the sluggish St George's pitch at Port Elizabeth, but Australia once again wriggled free of trouble, posting a respectable 212 for seven after an unbeaten half-century from Andrew Symonds, before grabbing an iron-like grip on the game with the ball.

Australia hasn?t been consistent with their batting in their last 3 innings. They haven?t put a big total against the opponent but man the bowling attack is in the form. I understand that last 3 innings were played on slow pitch but in the final the pitch is really favourite Australia :)
