From the time when I felt this sport is something interesting i.e, during WC11. But I have researched a lot & can say that I updated with some sorts of info about the game from 90s till date.

For me it was during 2003 CWC more so during the famous India-Pakistan match I remember it so vividly because of the fact that it was Dad who explained almost every single aspect of the game.

I grew up with watching cricket. I watched cricket with my family whenever they showed it. I would say when I actually started following it seriously is around 2002 or so, the first time I actually read the entire Laws in full.

EDIT: Great idea for a thread.

Followed it seriously after the 2013 CT final win over England.

1996 world cup is when I got hooked to this sport and got obsessed about the God of cricket :) and then just got crazy about the sport as well

When Kaif took single and India won Natwest Final. Ganguly was also another reason ! From that day i took CRICKET as my religion.

2005 Ashes was the first series I followed and was invested in (I was 9, so was not following it with an in-depth appreciation of things like technique or even tactics from an analytical perspective, but just as a supporter).

2006 India-Pakistan ODI at Kanpur, where Afridi hit a 45-ball 100

Steve Harmison's seven for 12 was the first time I really started to make cricket one of my main interests, although before that I thoroughly abused the highlights of the India-Australia 2001 Test series I had on VCR

I took an interest in cricket when my male colleagues formed a team and played a few times, we went along to support them and i quite enjoyed it, i thought joining a forum i could learn more about cricket and tennis at the same time :yes
