ICC Ban Sledging

THE International Cricket Council has banned sledging in the wake of India's tumultuous tour of Australia.

The ICC has sent a letter to international match officials, captains and chief executives calling for support in their decision to outlaw personal attacks which are "obscene, offensive or insulting".

I feel that they are only making it harder to police these things. Could be a bad thing, I still don't mind sledging. I think that the line is attacking someone past their cricketing ability, and over it is obviously racial or deeply personal abuse.

no big deal can still mess with there heads just not allowed to call them stuff like annoying weeds or else they will cry.

Sledging/trash talks happens in every sport/competition you outlaw that an u will end up with a bunch of midless boring zombies playing the game.

they even sledge in poker haha phil hemuth or watever his name is is cool.

I thought this was old news... I remember Speed saying something along those lines when the controversy erupted.

It's sad how so many people here think that sledging is an integral part of cricket.
