lol, If I you get annoyed by the noises people are making in the plane, I have a simple and effective solution.*

Emirates is the best IMO. Service is great. I don't know about other Indian and Pakistani members but you have that weird special feeling insde you when you're going to India/Pakistan and you've just took off...

All I can think of now is the movie Airplane! (known as Flying High in Australia). Best movie ever.

As for aeroplanes, I can safely say that QANTAS is a better airline than Jetstar (better than its own budget alternative? shock horror!) and Virgin. I've also flown Cathay Pacific on my way to Hong Kong, which was alright. My dad has flown them all because he travels to Asia at least every second month and to England/USA/Other a few times a year, and he says that Australia do it best with QANTAS. Plus they've never crashed.

Planes are normally designed to have legroom for a passenger even when the person in front leans back..But I know what you mean, Kinda cramps you for room.
