. . . . among the 3 aspects of Cricket, that is Fielding, Bowling and Batting what do you guys think is most difficult.

Are they equally difficult ?

I have a different perspective and I feel that Batting is most difficult, as I see it. .the difference between the bad sides and good sides comes down to batting. Bad sides are very poor batting sides. If they could have batted well then other aspects would come in.
If they can score 300 or so more often then the game would become more competitive

I find bowling the easiest, seem to have taken to fast bowling remarkably quickly, and have started finding genuine pace and getting decent guys out in the nets. I tend to find batting the hardest. I have certain areas where I play nicely, overpitch and I hit the ball well straight down the ground through mid off and mid on, and bowl short and wide outside the off-stump and I'll put you away, but apart from that I struggle a little. I've got solid defence, just not enough strokes.

In certain situations, bowling will be the hardest. You may have one of the hottest days ever, it might be humid, the pitch doing absolutely nothing for you while you and just another 3 bowlers having to run in time after time to get a batsman out, then repeating that 9 times.

Same for batting and the fielding but in different contexts. Have to say that batting and bowling have their perks, a good cricket team won't find any part of their game a weakness.

hey man but batting is most difficult than any others as bowlers alone cannot win match :rolleyes:

I find bowling the most difficult. Following a plan is something I'm never going to be good at.

Its just so tedious, I always claim I'm a bowler first and foremost.

Batting is pretty darn simple unless you come up against a guy who knows where its going.

It depends on you the player but the hardest art to learn in cricket is certainly leg-spin bowling. To be able to have good control and to be able to master variations is a very difficult skill.

Me reckons Leg Spin Bowling is the hardest to master. It takes hundreds of deliveries in the nets to perfect a specific variation so it comes out well in a match. Also I reckon most Great Batsmen are gifted with a good eye-hand co-ordination, therefore batting becomes significantly easier. Anyone can be gifted to bowl fast or spin a ball, but then it's a matter of the bowlers temperament and accuracy.

Overall it's largely debatable, It depends on which part of Cricket you specialize in.

Batting's always come hardest for me. I bat in a very unorthodox way as that is what comes easiest to me, a normal technique is near impossible. Legspin bowling is next, it's hard, but not impossible. Getting a good legbreak and topspinner is possible, it's the googly that kills ya...

Fielding has always come easiest though.

Googly is easy. If you can't cock your wrist all the way round, then you souldn't be bowling Legpsin IMO.

I say batting. You have to concentrate hard on every ball and you might face all sorts of bowling. Personally I can only play in the 'v' so it is what I struggle with. At least it was when I actually played.

Batting. I am a pretty decent batsmen but since I started working out my bowling became a lot quicker and thus easier whilst my batting became a lot worse for some reason. I think it's because I find hitting 4's and 6's a lot easier so I've become too agressive. Problem with batting is that you only get 1 chance. 1 bad shot and that's it, 1 bad ball bowling and you've got more chances.

It's not the wrist position that's the problem. It's landing it correctly. Bowling the googly means I have to be straighter when bowling, less round arm-ish. It takes me a few balls till I start getting it right. It's so annoying.

Ah, True. It took me months of practice to get my googly to pitch perfectly just outside off stump on a lentgh, and it still occasionally goes pear shaped...
