Whilst I do think that calling her a racist is a bit silly, because what she actually said to that Indian girl didn't deserve all the bashing she got in the English press, I do think that line I have quoted is completely ludicrous.
Since when can people get away with being racist because they are "uneducated" about it? Racism is racism, and it's pretty sad that you are implying that people need to be highly educated to avoid being racists. By the way, anyone over 10 years old in a place like England is educated enough to realise racism is wrong.

Jade Goody is uneducated. She didn't go out and called her the worst names under the Sun, and yes the ones she called her, she should have known they where racist. I think a lot of people want, and probably are right, to think that Jade Goody said it naively.

Well yes, she didn't say it out of spite it was probably just a heat of the moment, silly comment (which she did agree it was rude, and apologised).
What I have a problem with is, is the fact that people are using "she is uneducated" as an excuse for it. It annoys me. Do you ever hear people saying "Oh, he's not a rapist... He's just uneducated about sex" "Oh, he's not a murderer, he is just uneducated".
I realise what people are saying here, I just hate people using ignorance to somehow justify the fact she is a racist.
An uneducated murderer is still a murderer, an uneducated rapist is still a rapist and an uneducated racist, is still a racist.
"Jade goody isn't a racist, she's just uneducated" should read "Jade Goody is an uneducated racist".
That's just my 2 cents.

I personally don't see stamping out educated racism as any more of a priority than uneducated racism.
and furthermore, for someone with such public recognition to be ignorant of issues as fundamental as racism is pretty stupid. in anything it just makes it worse.
I do think at least people are right and that more women will have those dodgey smears checked.
I've had cancer myself, 'tis nasty stuff.

Whatever she said to Shilpa, yes they were racist remarks, but it's past, that thing happened almost two years ago. Why bring it up now? And she had to pay a very high price for her remarks- her boyfriend left her, the channels stopped screening her ads and pics and everything- she got completely ruined. She even tried to commit suicide once. It's sad how some people are still bashing Jade. She's dying guys, she's dying. She's in her death bed now, she'll die within a couple of hours. Be kind to her, forgive her- and anway, both Shilpa and Jade are now best of friends, what happened in the past- they have both forgotten it, Shipa has even left for U.K. today to see Jade.

I think he worded it incorrectly. I too was going to ask the same question but thought it would be a bit harsh. Some members were saying she had got just some hours and this is days after that.
