Place: Samshabad Recreation Ground.
Time, 08:30 hours.
Both of our captains went for toss, and Himachal Predesh Captain won the toss and they decided to field first:doh. I got my kit ready, and I pasted the HCA logo on my left chest. I practiced for about 15 mins, and then, coach called me and Anoop Pai, the openers. He said Anoop that I was a debutant, so keep on instructing me on field. Everyone wished me good luck. I was to take the non strikers end with Anoop on strikers end.
It was Mohinder Sharma bowling, and He played pretty fine strokes in the opening over. He straight away hit a four in the fourth ball of the innings over deep extra cover. We extracted 6 off the over, with a double and a four.
I was to take strike. It was the Himachal Pradesh Skipper Ashok Thakur bowling to me. He was a south paw and medium pacer. I was feeling damn tensed while he started run up, he finally released the ball. It came out side the off stump, I tried to defend it, but Damn You!!! Nicked and Gone!!!!!!
facepalm. They were already celebrating, but the umpire raised his hand to signal that it was a no ball. 
.Huuh... was the buzz around me, and I had a small chat with Anoop. He said that those bowlers don't have that capability of getting early wickets 'cause if they ball perfectly well, and if you play good cricket, they can't get you out. and he even suggested me to play defensive strokes and irritate the bowlers.
I with some strong mind, continued to play defensive strokes, and I ducked up all the balls in that over. Then, Anoop gave me strike in the 4th ball next over, after which, I ducked up the next two deliveries. Then, the next over, Anoop played some exceptional cricket.
I was taking the strike and the bowler was changed. It was Vikramjeet Malik. I faced some furious deadly bouncers from him, but yet, I kept in mind what Anoop said. Then, the last delivery of that over was a pretty interesting one! I faced the ball well, but dunno what happened to that ball, I tried to drive it. It was in inside edge and fell exactly infront of stumps and remained. I just tried to get that ball backside, but in that bloody process, my leg hit the basically pushed the ball towards the stumps, for which the bails fell down:doh:crying. I started walking!
. I knew that the third umpire gonna give it out 'cause it can be considered as "bowled" as the ball hitting stumps by touching batsmen is given out!Laxman, on walking to pavilion, said "No worries dude, you did which most miss it. Many just go and hit the stumps with their legs without touching the ball, but you managed to touch the ball and let everyone know that you can't stop those kinda wickets." And, same were the comments from our coach even. He said that I atleast touched ball with my legs trying to stop it 'cause every batsman just hit the stumps with legs trying to stop the ball."
Everyone said that even international stars like Chris Gayle, Andrew Symonds got a duck on debut!
I felt bit relaxed after hearing Gayle and Symonds names.
Our batsmen performed well, and we were all out for 344 by Day 2.
