March 20, Mumbai: The BCCI appointed Ali Bubere as the General Manager of the Vivo Indian Premier League 2018. There were sixteen interests for owning a team in the cash-rich league.
The team distribution was completed with each team getting two in-charges (listed below). Few rules regarding the squad limit and squad composition are followed. The managers can start their work. Let's begin!

- A minimum of 1 inexperienced uncapped () player.
- A minimum of 2 experienced uncapped (/) players.
- A maximum of 6 overseas () players
- A minimum of 2 wicket-keeping options (//) - KXIP is an exception
- A minimum of 8 bowling options (//)
