The game has improved with the latest patch. Career mode is still not great. You make captain and the cut scene has you wearing the wrong jersey etc. Fielding, as has probably been mentioned multiple times, still needs work even with the improvements. Fielders throw to the bowler or keeper too...
As said above, the pad bat smash made DBC17 unplayable, especially if you were bowling spin. So the lack of “scripting” with DBC17 is meaningless when it was so easy to get a batsman out.
I do think that Cricket 22 with its many, many flaws is a better product. But it does my head in that after...
One thing I’d love fixed is not having first slip take the ball instead of the keeper. Happens many, many times a game. Was an issue with 19 / Ashes as well.
I don’t care about rain. I just wish I could play a square drive. Or cut the spinners. Or nudge the ball around the corner. Issues that have existed since Cricket 19. (I am using the Joe Root batting style which may be one of the bugged ones).
I also find it amazing that with concussion a big...
It’s so frustrating to see that weird pull shot animation against the spinners again when all you want to do is tuck it around the corner. And there’s something unethical about the fact that your player can be hit in the head multiple times but show no damage. I’m pretty sure Lara 99 had...
Would be a half-decent game if it didn’t crash every single time (playing on PS4). Also, the AI is stupid. You hit the ball multiple times in the same spot for a boundary and it keeps bowling the same ball without making a change to the field. But I feel like that’s the least of the games...
If we’re going to have more animations, one where the batsmen reacts after being hit on the body by the ball would be nice.
What would also be nice are field settings that (a) suit the match that’s being played and (b) stick from over to over.
Oh, and stats. Lots and lots of onscreen...
It’s essentially non-existent at the moment. Matt has vanished.. at least from here... and Ross cracked the sads yonks ago.
Lost all faith in BA having purchased 3 games with them. I have more fun playing iPhone cricket games, even with all the intrusive advertising.
My 8 year old is getting...
Yeah, nah - not at that price. I’m sure Ross will talk about small markets and economies of scale etc but that’s steep for what’s essentially a novelty.
