DELHI DOMINANCE - Rashid Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin blow Sunrisers Hyderabad away in startling fashion to end their Championship dreams.
Delhi Capitals batted first and finished with a modest 263 for 7 with Joe Root's 70 being the top score. He and Venkatesh Iyer added 93 runs for the second wicket following the early dismissal of Jonny Bairstow. Sunrisers Hyderabad soon found a breakthrough to end this partnership when Venkatesh Iyer chipped the ball straight back to Tabraiz Shamsi. Joe Root perished soon after, courtesy his fellow countryman Saqib Mahmood. Rinku Singh was dismissed prematurely as Delhi began to lose their way in the middle overs, but a crucial partnership between Sanjay Yadav and Priyam Garg kept Delhi going. Priyam Garg played a bafflingly sedated knock, although it did allow the batters at the other end to look for quicker ways of scoring runs. But only Sanjay Yadav and Rashid Khan were successful in doing so. Sanjay Yadav struck 3 fours and 3 sixes in his 48, whereas Rashid Khan was restrained considerably by quality death-bowling from Hyderabad. For Hyderabad, Saqib Mahmood was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with a figure of 4 for 42 in his full ten overs. Tabraiz Shamsi also claimed 2 wickets, whereas Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed gave rather disappointing returns on a dry wicket.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started their chase pretty smoothly before Venkatesh Iyer struck to remove Ishan Kishan. Hyderabad were hardly jolted by the early breakthrough, as is evident by Deepak Hooda and Babar Azam taking Delhi Capitals' bowlers head on. However, it all went south for them pretty quick. Pat Cummins dismissed both, Deepak Hooda and Babar Azam, in the same over, and what followed next can only be described as a collapse of epic proportions. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their next 7 wickets for 53 runs, with Rashid Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin running rampant on an esteemed Hyderabad batting line. Rashid Khan picked-up 4 wickets for 8 runs, and Ravichandran Ashwin claimed 3 wickets for 9 runs. A scintillating victory for Delhi, and an infuriating defeat for Hyderabad. A defeat that confirms theirs, and Punjab Kings' elimination from the title race.

Same XI for us as conditions are good for all the disciplines. Final game of the season and against Kolkata at that! We have played 2 finals against them earlier and I would love if the result is the same this time too. We need to win this and then let fate do it's thing.
