Morocco announce 15-men squad for their first-ever international cricket series

Moroccan Cricket Federation [MCF] released the names of fifteen cricketers that will represent Morocco in their first-ever international cricket series following their admission into the World Cricket Conference [WCC]. Though Morocco had previously played a 5-match one-day series against the Netherlands, their games were not sanctioned as official ODIs owing to the associate status of both teams at the time. Since then, both the Netherlands and Morocco have gone on to become full-member nations in the WCC.

Morocco will be traveling to Japan to play two ODIs in January, with both matches being televised on free-to-air stations in Morocco. For which, the Moroccan Cricket Federation announced a 15-player squad early this morning. Casablanca dominate the national side with 7 players making their way into the squad following the domestic club's back-to-back Moroccan Cup victories, along with their impressive showing in the inaugural WCC Club World Cup, where they finished as runners-up.

Abderrahim Zniber, Casablanca's captain, will also lead the national Moroccan side in their ODI debut. The complete 15-player list is as follows:

Bit of an outdated list, a lot of Hokkaido and silver players there.
