India's win against Namibia was never in doubt as they played on Sunday at the City Oval, Pietermaritzburg.Namibia lost by 181 runs, as the spinners bowled a tight line and length.

When Deon Kotze won the toss and elected to field, India piled up a mammoth score of 311 for 2. Virendra Sehwag started the fireworks but was soon out on 24 off 24 balls.

Tendulkar then led the charge with his 34th one-day century, the first by an Indian this World Cup. Ganguly soon followed notching up his 20th ODI century and remained unbeaten on 112 off 119 balls that included 6 fours and 4 sixes.

When Tendulkar secured his fourth World Cup century, he also achieved the distinction of notching up one-day hundreds against ten different countries.

The batsmen not only attempted big shots but kept the scoreboard ticking with the ones and twos as well thanks to some poor Namibian fielding.

In the 40th over Tendulkar was bowled by Rudie van Vuuren for 152 off 151 balls that included 18 fours.

Yuvraj Singh was unbeaten on seven, as India posted a huge total of 311 for 2 in their allotted 50 overs.

Namibia in their reply were never allowed to settle. Burger once-again top-scored with 29 runs, before Mongia dismissed him, while Deon Kotze secured 27 runs. Melt van Schoor chipped in with 24 runs.

The rest of the players were hardly able to score and with wickets falling at regular intervals, it was just a matter of time for India to bowl out the minnows for 130.

One of the highlights of the day was the wicket of Keulder, who while attempting to heave Harbhajan Singh over midwicket was caught by Dinesh Mongia, who lurched, caught, fumbled, then caught again before sliding to stop just inches in front of the ropes.

Mongia claimed 2 for 24, while Harbhajan secured 2 for 34. Yuvraj wrapped up the tail-enders to end with figures of 4 for 6.

India with 12 points can now afford to dream of entering the Super Six stage.
