Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

Sorry if this has already been answered as I'm sure it's already been discussed and asked but will there be full "World Cup" tournaments included in the Career mode this time around? If so will it be ODI and T20 or just the main ODI WC?

Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

It kinda boggles my mind that so much talk about the next game has been regarding the commentary. As someone who plays with the commentary turned off and just the ambient game sounds turned up I would much prefer to see them focus on the gameplay aspects. A fully fledged career mode with deep...

That's cool but i'm pretty sure this thread is only for confirmed info. Rumours will make it a messy business sorting fact from fiction.

    PS3: Random Match Thread

Uh so I've never really played online but play a fair bit normally. I usually play on Pro and usually in career although now the patch has come out I have been getting around some co-op. Anyway if someone wants to set up a league I would be willing to join as a team and have a go.

    Console Patch 3 Release?

Oh my word I can now square drive and the bowlers don't just bowl on my legs all the time. This is revolutionary. Not to mention the fact that the AI actually plays aggressively in limited overs and they push the running between wickets (I got my 1st ever run out last night!!). The co-op is so...

Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

One thing that really needs to be in the next game imo is drag and drop field placings. I hate being locked into set positions and would love the ability to just pick up fielders and plop them anywhere I want as often I only want a slight tweak eg moving mid on a few metres to the right.

Teams lock in at the start of the career so any changes you make to the team lists or players won't affect career until you start a new one.

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

I appreciate what you're saying but I should have made myself more clear. I am well aware of how the academy works and I actually used your thread to download the teams and checked them and made a few changes myself. The home grounds are all correct in the academy and I haven't changed or...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

Cheers for your help as usual Biggs but actually I've started many new careers since updating all my team lists and I didn't use get best at all. I downloaded all the teams manually. The grounds I play at seem to make no sense at all sometimes. Maybe it is because my player is an Australian but...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

I'm not sure if it is because when I play with the English sides in casual games their home grounds are right but in career the grounds almost seem random. I play some in England, some in Australia and even the odd one in South Africa. Everything seems right in the Academy anyway.

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

It's also a bit annoying that most of the games I play for my English county team end up being played at Australian grounds. I was looking forward to enjoying the small grounds in the English T20 and instead end up playing most of them at Melbourne. Not a major gripe but just one of those little...

Well you won't be bowling very often don't get your hopes up too high. As a batsman I've only ever really been bowled in limited overs games and even then only get thrown the ball maybe once a season really if that.

Batting experience in the Next Version

Just to put my 2 bobs worth in here I would just like to quickly say that I really like the general idea of the batting in DBC14 as I don't like markers on the pitch telling you exactly where the ball is going to pitch as was the case in earlier cricket games. This game feels closer to real...

Post your questions about the game here!

Ok that makes more sense. I agree that the AI fielding is pretty poor. Fielders sometimes just jog slowly towards the ball when the batsman are running and thy often dive across the boundary with the ball unnecessarily. They also do dive around a lot I agree and some of the catches just look...

Batting experience in the Next Version

I'm really liking your ideas here mate and think they could work well. The only thing I would question here perhaps is the double tap for duck. I think that could be included in evade (LHS pulled back+RSB) and the animations be contextual and could vary depending on the batsmans style i.e. duck...

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

Are you sure? I swear I seem to hit bigger sixes and my miss hits carry further with aggressive, brutal, radical batsman compared to conservative types. I may well be imagining it of course. Either way I was really asking about how it is determined for your career player.

Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

Hey guys one thing I have never quite understood is how the batting "type" (conservative, aggressive, brute etc) of your career player is determined. Is it purely attribute based or is it based on your play style or batting position? I am assuming attributes or batting position because I have...

    Console Patch 3 Release?

Where on earth has all this helicopter shot talk come from? I'd rather they focus on fixing and fine tuning the proper cricket shots (for the next game) first.
