8th Match
Monsters XI vs Hurtle Hunk
Good Evening everyone on this great evening for the 8th match of FCL this match is cruel for Hurtle Hunk that is they need to win this match to go to the Final so they made lot of changes in there squad.Were as in Monsters XI they didn't do many changes as they wa unbeaten by Hurtle Hunks.
Two Captains are out there for the Toss with the umpire the pitch report says it will be a 50-50 pitch both batsman and bowler will get what they needed but may vary due to weather. Monsters XI won the toss elected to Bowl first.
Hurtle Hunk Came to bat the opening pair has changed Mohammad Kaif make is debut as a opener. Bond Starts the bowling for Monsters XI Kaif didn't expect the pace from S Bond resulted a easy catch in slip Kaif was out for the first ball he faced. Wrong choice by the captain since he didn't played a single match, Then came the captain played sensibly Sanath Jayasuriya was also out just for 3 Bond was the man who took the wicket. Then Covvy came to bat but a misunderstanding between covvy and shubhrayu made covvy runout for just 6. Huge pressure on Hurtle Hunks they were 47-3 at the end of 5 overs.
Shubhrayu is playing wonderfully smashing only the lose balls to fours and sixes Amiya Shreyas was rotating the strikes to shubhrayu there bowler was also in great form bowling at right length. Nixon bowled a ball which made Shreyas out for LBW he scored 26(16 balls). Then Matt Arko came to bat Hurtle Hunks were 85-4 at the end of 10 overs.
Hurtle Hunk balanced there innings some how shubhrayu reached his 50 in class but a bowling change by Khalek made Carins to bowl who took the wicket of Arko. Shane Pollock came and supported Shubhrayu a lot at the end of 15th over Hurtle Hunk were 131-5
The last Five Over Hurtle Hunk took risks and scored 41 runs at the loss of 3 wickets Shubhrayu was out at 88(61 balls) great batting by him Khalek took his wicket at the end of first innings Hurtle Hunks were 172-8.
With a Huge Score to chase Monsters XI openers came to bat. Mc Grath starts the bowling he stuck the very first ball Michael papps LBW for a duck. Rameez Aslam Came as a onedown batsman ursonly and Rameez played well but a huge misunderstanding make Ursonly to return to dressing room, he scored 20(9 balls). After that Rameez didn't hode long he was also out for 16(8 balls). At the end of 5 over Monsters XI were 46-3.
Jit and Andy was playing but they both failed very soon and lost there wicket great bowling by Hurtle Hunks maiti and adam took one wicket each. Khalek the captain and Chirs carins was batting the both developed a small partnership at the end of 10th over Monsters XI were 96-5.
The partnership was so strong that many bowling changes didn't able to break them they played slowly and steady chirs carins was the man who is striking the bowlers were Khalek was rotating strikes Carins reached his 50 in style. At the end of 15th over Monsters XI were 140-5. looking good but should not lose wickets if they are going to win this match.
The last five overs were great suspense the partnership was broken maiti who took the wickets of both the members Chirs Carins made 74(37 balls). and khalek was out for 4 (33 balls) missed a 50. Paul Nixon and Spinks were at the crease Mati again stuck took the wicket of Nixon the only hope is now out. With the tail waging Ashely Giles came to bat but was duck maiti took the wicket great bowling by Maiti. Shane Bind came to crease with one wicket remaining the need 6 runs to win in last over but Bond came and smashed two fours made his team to victory...
Thus Monsters XI won the match after a great stuggle.
The Man of the Match was given to Chirs Carins.
Hurtle Hunks were lose there chance to go to Finals.
