ok firstly i must say that i am fairly new to blic but i like many others have been experiencing the sometimes ridiculously high run rate. anyway i just started a test match with west indies v south africa on test difficulty, however i went into options/tools and turned 100 percent batting/bowling confidence on to see if there was any difference. now i have only just started this match and am currently batting first and well im 105-4 after 25 overs, now usually id probably achieve this score before 10 overs. anyway like i said im deffinately not the best player of blic but this has made a big differance for me (when batting anyway), i find myself playing alot more defensively as i dont know when the next yorker or bouncer could be. im just interested to see if anyone else has done this and whether they have experienced anything similar.

p.s like i said though i have not tried bowling with this yet so you might not see any differences there.

Unfortunately it wouldn't make little to no difference to me. I've played without the bowling marker and batsman/bowler confidence switched off and can still score at 10 an over. :(

Maybe your just too good at it? ;)

How do you turn off the second bowling marker? I have looked at options but cannot see it there...also, how did you automatically get 100% confidence in tools, do you have the bonus codes...if so could you share them ? :)

Agree. For me, the reason for that is the fact that in BLIC one doesn't need to decide whether to play the ball off the front / back foot. Once that decision is already made for you, its pretty easy to create scenarios where you're either hitting inside out (standing outside off), or across the line (standing on middle / off).

I'd always thought that any good cricket game would reward you for getting the 'basics' right. And if one were to think of the very basics of batting, they would be - playing the ball on the merit of its line & length: Whether to go forward, or stay back; whether to play with a horizontal or straight bat etc.

Maybe its just me, but the reason I find it so easy to score in BLIC is that the batting system does half my job - that of judging the length of the ball. For the same reason, at least as far as batting is concerned, I find the Cricket 07 experience a much more rewarding one even with all its glitches, and the non-existent century stick. Again - since I have no other reference point, I make a comparison that could attract flames, but my intention is not to show one game as better than the other based simply on a batting system comparison.

I guess I'm rambling, but I've always felt that BLIC provided a very shallow batting experience because it never involves you in the basics of batting - judge the line, judge the length, play a shot based on merit, ability and circumstance. Guess just wanted to see if I'm the only one who feels this way!

Cheers.

no i didnt use a cheat i just went into the cheats section and activated the tools, its the only thing you dont have to get codes for i think
