!!Pietersen Joins NSW On A 2 Year Contract!!
channel9qt0.png

Excitment builds over New South Wales today as the English big hitter K.P Pietersen lands on Australian turf, just in time for NSW first match of the 2006 season.

K.P as he also called in England agreed a 2 season contract and said he couldnt wait to get started in preperation for the Ashes Series in Australia.

In an interview with one news crew K.P was heard to say that as M. Clarke had been striped of his captaincy, for reasons unknown at this particular time, he would gladly take the riens of the captaincy as it would be "a great honour and much more experience."

K.P had an outstanding series against the Aussies on English soil, albeit a few missed chances in the field but over the last year he has worked hard with his fielding and is much more improved.

Graham Thorpe Shock!!

In a emergancy conference where G.Thorpe was thought to be named as NSW's captain for the 2006/2007 season a huge twist has occured.

Thorpe Was Thought Out To Be NSW Amazing Middle Order Man

G.Thorpe has left NSW after finding it hard accustoming to life in Australia, Thorpe was thought to be getting pressure from family, with his family threatening to leave Australia to go home. Thorpe is thought to be enjoying the life in Australia but found it very difficult in the heat. Thorpe's form has dropped alot since he lost out to K.P in the Ashes series and it looks again like K.P will have the last laugh as it it thought to be either him or Brett Lee who will have the captaincy put apon them.

In a warm up today, K.P was seen playing an sport Australians love, Not cricket though. Pietersen was seen kicking about a rugby ball along with B.Haddin, maybe he might do a Andrew Johns in reverse??

Hey guys come on tell me what you think to the start of my story??

please give me some views, and maybe some of you who have done other stories can give me some pointers

It's great mate, although I already used that picture of Thorpey in my story! As you are in Australia maybe you should change to 'Channel 9' instead of 'Sky Sports'. Good start though.

I was going for the channel 9 coverage but i cant find the logo unfortunatly, and as of the thorpey photo, i couldnt find another that fitted the occasion.

I will update this tomorrow with the first match, ive been in hospital today so ya'll have to excuse me :p

NSW Win First Game of The Season
channel9qt0.png

In a nervous first game for NSW, in the State Cup, It saw a tough home game to Western Australia to really get the Speedblitz Blues to start on a high note.

Brett Lee fired in well all match and his ten overs only went for 39, he also got the vital wicket of Martyn who was going well on 57 when he was clean bowled and sent the bails flying for a 4.

Glenn Mcgrath in his last first game of the season returned with cracking figures of 5/46 in his 10 overs, Mcgrath has been heard to say that this season he will try to break some records not just in the county side but if he can, in the international side, he was quoted to say "Yeah, ill go for dizzy's record, how hard can it be the get 201?? Ive told this to the guy n he always reminds me that he still has time to get the record back if i take it this season, good luck to the guy,"

Debutant Kevin Pietersen did extremely well as he helped the side along to a 120 run victory. KP scored 86 in just 41 balls, and in an interview afterwards he said,

"Well done Kevin, Cracking debutant proformance there. What did you think of the Australia weather, can you cope with the heat and pressure over here when the much awaited for Ashes Series starts in little over a month?"

"Well, ive been working hard for the last two days, just really to try to brush off the old Jet Lag, and i did, and ive really enjoyed it. The pitch was a beauty."

"How do they differ to English ones, Did it take much getting used to??"

"Nah, not at all, i played on a few pitches in the Jonny Walker Series and i really enjoyed it. The pitches differ in the amount of swing most notabely, in England you get Hoggards who are good at swinging a ball, but here every guy seems like a Hoggard or a Jimmy Anderson."

"So, what do you think you going to try and do in the next month??"

"Well obviously my first job is to try to get as many runs as possible for NSW, and if the skipper lets me, try to get a few wickets aswell."

"Oh, you going for an All-Rounder tab now Kevin?"

"Nah, its just i see how excited Freddie, Jimmy, Hogggy and Harmy get when they take a wicket, i want some of it,"

"Ahh thanks very much for your time Kevin, well done and hope you do well next week in the Queensland game."

"This is Troy Evans speaking for Channel 9 news,"

The final score card looks like so,

NSW Captain Position Filled

In breaking news today, Brett Lee and Glenn Mcgrath sat with thier head coach Simon Barrow in an interview were Brett Lee was named captain and Glenn Mcgrath was named vice captain.

Shock, is what resounded around the ground after the decision as Kevin Pietersen was surely odds on for some sort of captaincy.

Brett Lee is one astounding fast bowler, he works hard and has an apitite to really get up the bowlers backs, first came Lee then the south african hot head, Nel, surely eminated Lee in his fiery antics.

Lee was though to be to upfront on a cricket pitch to be given the captain's armband, but he has been given it with full confidance from his coach Simon Barrow, here are a few words Barrow spoke,

"I have been thinking ever since i striped Micheal of the captaincy, and i will not go into detail why that happened, but im sure Brett will be a superb captain and will take NSW to a new level and along side Glenn, im sure the team can only benifit."

Mcgrath took the riens in the first game of the season, and won comfortably by 120 runs, with Mcgrath taking a 5 wicket haul.

"Glenn is always early before a game to give advice to the younger lads in team, and he also trys to give Stu Mcgill advice, but i dont think Stu takes it too well."

"The match yestoday was a cracker for all involved at the club, im quite a inexperienced coach, but i know i can do it, and to get a record so far of 1 out 1 im happy, the lads batted well, with special mention to KP, and the guys stuck at it with the ball, bowling in some good areas and most profiting from it."

NSW surely look to be heading into some unknown but exciting times, with a win and a 5 for for the vice captain, im sure Lee can only gain confidence, but will the wieght of being a world class fast bowler and captain hender Lee's ability with the ball, and probably the bat? Only time will tell, but as of now, NSW are celebrating and look to be going into the Queensland game with a huge boost of confidance.

Lee always bowls well in under-pressure games, but will the pressure at NSW be too much?

Day One Ends With A 50/50 Chance To Both Sides
channel9qt0.png

Breaking news this morning is that Pietersens troublesome knee is playing up early this morning so the medical staff asked Barrow to pull him out of the game. Barrow did and replaced him by the out of favour Clarke who the scoreboard showed up as captain for some unknown reason, and with antics in the field, it saw Glenn Mcgrath, point at the team list on the big screen, dramtically act upset and storm off the field while the umpires laughed along with him. The play finally got started with Pietersen doing some wierd stretches on the balcony, it looks like Barrow has enthused comedy into these lads, and im sure the crowds will love todays play.

Even Stevens here at stumps on day one of the first 4 day game for both sides here, Queensland are 231 for 7 with all Mcgill, Mcgrath and the new captain Lee taking two wickets each and Braken taking one wicket. Lets look at how the teams lined up this morning, and have a look at the pitch.

teamandpitchfu1.jpg

Queensland have had a good day really seeing as the pitch is definatly a bowlers pitch, and really a seamers more than anything, so at the end of the day im sure NSW will be going in the happiest.

A.Nye top scored for a Queensland side which didnt really boast any big scores, Nye got 46 runs, but was backed up by everyone in the top 7 scoring above 15 runs.

endofday1vq9.jpg

Day two shall really predict in the fans view who will be the front-runners in this game, if Queensland can stick in for anoth few hours and pile on another 75 to 100 runs, im sure they will look the stronger, but if they lose thier last 3 wickets early on and Mail and Katich can kick start a good innings for NSW, im sure Queensland will be behind, but we will have to wait for tomorrows play to find out.

I'd say overall, that it has been NSW's day today, but you never know, teh tail might wag in teh morning and 300 might be gettable. Good start to the story though.

I don't think the Aussies fans would have been happy with KP signing with NSW.

Nice story. I'm enjoying it.
