Rembrant Marcelino finishes it off with a shot to remember! New Zealand have absolutely batted out of their skins to seal a well-deserved victory.
With last season's champions coming up against the wooden spoon holders, it seemed Niue's 276 would probably be enough on a typically nightmarish American Samoan pitch. The total was set up by contributions all around, most notably from Jayson Okesene and Abdul Qadir. Emile Leannon, meanwhile, single-handedly stopped them from breaching 300 with his 4 wickets.
Abraham Spinka went on a rampage to start the second innings, but after captain Duken Talaiti removed the top 3 victory seemed far away. However, captain Michel Gottleib kept NZ in it till the very end, where Marcelino and Nasir West sealed a memorable win.
