2002 NASACU Americas Championship

The NASACU Americas Championship is a 50-over One-Day International cricket tournament held annually.
Organized by the North and South American Cricket Union, the tournament only features full-member NASACU nations.

Upgrades

Squads

Each team taking part in the competition is required to name a 15-player squad at the start of the tournament.
No upgrades can be spent to improve players mid-tournament; upgrades must be made during squad announcement, or before.

Lineups

Playing XIs are required to contain at least one capable wicket-keeper (

/

) and four bowling (

/

) options.
Designated captain (

) at the start of the tournament can not be dropped unless injured or unavailable.

Player Injuries

Injuries are randomly simulated to give this league somewhat of a realistic feel.
Players that play without a rest are more likely to get injured.

Format

The tournament is played in a 3 team round robin.

Points System

In case of a draw in round robin, the rankings will be determined by NRR.
If NRR is tied then ranking is determined by number of total runs scored by each team.
If total runs scored by each team is tied then ranking is determined by team which took more wickets.

Following are the types of injuries:

Degree 1

* Can play with a 25% ratings decrease; 50% chance of developing a Degree 2 injury
- Heals fully after a one-game rest

Degree 2

* Can play with a 50% ratings decrease; 75% chance of developing a Degree 3 injury
- Heals fully after a two-game rest

Degree 3

* Out for one game; instantly made unavailable
- Can play one game early with a 50% ratings decrease upon return. Heals fully after a two-game rest.

Degree 4

* Out for two to three games; instantly made unavailable
- Can play one game early with a 25% ratings decrease upon return. Heals fully after a three-game rest

Degree 5

* Out for four to five games; instantly made unavailable
- Can play one game early with a 10% ratings decrease upon return. Heals fully after a five-game rest

Degree 6

* Out for six to ten games; instantly made unavailable
- Heals fully after recovering from injury

Degree 7

Ruled out for the remainder of the series/tournament
- You can call-up a replacement if your player pool can support it

Rules

Your squad for the tournament must consist of EXACTLY fifteen players
You must mark your captain (

) for the tournament; marked captain can not be dropped unless injured
You must have at least one wicket-keeper (
