What a Nail biting Finish ! Du Plessis , Duminy and Miller contributing and Taking score 300+ after we lost Top players .

NZ were going strong but Steyn had other ideas and supplied the breakthroughs when we needed.

Great to see SA not choking this time .

The century came off just 76 balls. A typical Chris Gayle innings, except for the fact that it contained more fours than sixes.

After a being plagued by injuries and fitness problems throughout this World Cup, Michael Clarke bounced back well enough to take his team into the final with a brilliant hundred. He understandably gets the Man of the Match award despite being outscored by his team-mate David Warner.

It's Australia who will be playing South Africa at the iconic MCG to contest for the 2015 World Cup trophy.

WEST INDIES 276 47.2 overs
AUSTRALIA 277/2 41.4 overs

Australia won by 8 wickets (with 50 balls remaining)

Man of the match: Michael Clarke (Australia)

The Indians sure needed Murali Vijay, the only Indian who can get hold of the Australian condition well and that to with consistency. I would rate him on the same levels as Kohli when it comes to pitches at Australia and he's way better than that Dhawan. In other news I can see this being a thriller, could there be a last minute run out? :p

Final

Australia v South Africa at The MCG

Taking lineups for the final. I won't be doing any of my Olympic-esque previews for this league because it has coincided with the worst period of my life. Better to just get it over with and rid myself of the memories.

Wow, that's brilliantly done. Good stuff by the bowlers, a touch too expensive though. Starc continues to impress in the tournament and so does our batting. We'll be going with the same, Finch-less side.

I hope South Africa can find a better time to shed off their chokers tag. :)
