In Chris Laas and Damien Alifraco, Colombia had found themselves an opening pair capable of giving it to the best from the Americas NSC region. The put on a marvelous display with 117 for the 1st wicket, setting the platform for a competitive total of 251 which can be tricky to chase in these conditions. It could've been more but for Brazil's fightback led by Freddie Brunt, who claimed 3 for 38 in 8.5 overs.

It seemed the days of Brazil's over-reliance on veterans Matt Featherstone and Gregor Caisley for runs were finally coming to an end. Newcomers Jonathan Randolph and Martin Chris rose up to the challenge with a couple of half-centuries, taking Brazil to victory with only 4 balls to spare.

Lineup rules

1) A proper wicket-keeper (:wk:/:wkb:/:arwk:) in your XI.
2) A minimum of 6 players marked to bowl.
3) Players ruled out due to injury cannot be selected.
4) The time limit for posting lineups is 96 hours. I will likely go with a random lineup if your lineup isn't posted within that time.

Player rarities

In each squad, players have been marked with these icons to give you a fair idea of their playing skills and overall usefulness to your team.

:purpo: - Legend. Used for the players that are undoubtedly the best of the lot.
:goldo: - Gold. Used for players with a high level of consistency and ability to deliver during key moments.
:redo: - Ruby. Used for players that are extremely talented and can play in a way no one else can replicate.
:slvo: - Silver. Used for players that aren't as talented as their Gold/Ruby/Legend contemporaries, but still capable of holding their own against the best in business.
:bro: - Bronze. Used for players that are a level below Silver. They are more likely to put in good performances than players from the Sapphire/Crystal category.
:blueo: - Sapphire/Crystal. Used for players that are inexperienced or with a lower skill set compared to those from a higher category. They could either put in good performances or fail miserably.

Explanation on pitch types

Artificial - Likely to favor bowlers more than batsmen due to the pitch not being of the same quality as regular pitches.
Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Evenly balanced - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer, which makes it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Quite regular to find in most European countries.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way.
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
