it was a great game specially the last 2 days where west indies were chasing runs.

but currently Australia are just too good

This result looks more comfortable than it actually was for the Aussies. West Indies looked in good shape in the second innings with Lara and Sarwan consolidating superbly. But a middle order collapse swayed the game back to the aussies, who, for me, should be more careful in their declaration of an innings and should really have given the windies a much bigger target to chase. Had Samuels, Bernard and Bough (all extremely capable batsmen) been able to sustain the pressure of their predecessors then this game could have been a much tighter affair.

However, I'm certain our friends from the carribbean will regret not picking a more solid bowling attack - the Australian first innings partnership between Ponting and Lehmann inevitably won the match, and West Indian selectors should point to that when choosing their side for the third test. I anticipate a much closer game in the third test, but don't quote me on that...good luck to both teams in what should be an intriguing contest

Lisle, yes I agree, Vasbert did superb to score important runs lower down the order, but that's not what he is selected for in test matches. I feel Drakes is capable of being a big-time player, but more consistency is required from him with the ball in his hand. I would much rather see him get five wickets than 50 runs in two innings, and I'm sure most of the West Indies would aswell, good luck to you for the game mate, hopefully your middle order will get their act together this time.

thanks

I agree with you

 mark you since his return to the side he was consistent up to the second innings of the first test.

I think the selectors are in bit of confusion. They are taking out yet another bowler (Collins, a Bajan) from the third test in Barbados...I take it there will be like a protest boycott of the match because their homeboy ain't playing.

Australian Selectors :band:
West India Selectors :argue:
