6 Degrees of Separation - Cricket Style

I'll give it a go.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul made his Test Debut in 1994 against England, a team that featured Graham Thorpe

Graham Thorpe played his County cricket at Surrey alongside fellow England team-mate Mark Ramprakash

Mark Ramprakash made one of his 2 Test centuries against an Australian side that featured Damien Martyn

Damien Martyn retired from Test Cricket during the Ashes in 2006, a series which also saw the retirement of Justin Langer

Justin Langer happened to be the first Ashes victim of one Monty Panesar

Monty Panesar bowled the infamous delivery that resulted in Inzamam Ul-Haq falling backwards, taking the stumps out, resulting in his dismissal
---------------------------------

Harder than it looks, I had an idea that it was going to end with Panesar then Inzamam, but was difficult piecing together the parts in the middle.

Next one, Inzamam Ul-Haq to Sydney Barnes.

A thing that I nearly missed too. It's 6 players between the two mentioned, you've got 5.:)

Based on the fact it's too much effort to redo that, we'll let him have it this time.

Dan, Statsguru is your friend :D I just pick players at random for the first 3 or 4 then I try and go in a direction to link up with the player, you can usually find one in 2 or 3 moves.

Inzi's last one day domestic game in England was against Kent at Canterbury (I remember it well). In that match he took apart Kent youngster Alex Blake
Alex Blake's only First Class match so far was Kent v New Zealanders last year. Rob Key scored 178 not out during that match.
In 2004 Rob scored 221 at Lord's against the West Indies. Next highest scorer in the match was Andrew Strauss
Andrew Strauss, earlier in the same year, became only the 4th player to score a century on début at Lord's (At that time). The first player to do so was Australia's Harry Graham
Harry Graham's final test was against England, again at Lord's in 1896. England's highest scoring batsman in the match was Bobby Abel with 94.
Bobby Abel's last test was against Australia at Old Trafford in 1902. Abel's captain was Archie McLaren
Archie McLaren picked Sydney Barnes to tour Australia on the back of a net session at Old Trafford.

So Sydney Barnes to Mark Waugh please :)

Edit: remembered that we've had the Waugh brothers already so Sydney Barnes to Kapil Dev instead please
