After reading this I still don't understand what a goth is? What is a goth?

A lot wear black mascara, paint their finger and toenails black, dye their hair black/purple/pink to some extent. Put on a lot of paling make up, boys do all the above too. Very disturbing kind of style trend in my opinion. A lot join because they want to be 'different', but they then join the gothic culture, which is not being different, it's following a trend...
