Not something we see often from Gayle but he made the runs when it counts, guiding Pretoria to their first AFPL Title.

There's not a lot you can do when your two strike bowlers don't take a single wicket between them and everyone else gets smashed, and we were probably a few short with the bat after that middle order collapse and considering that they weren't playing any international bowlers.

We are the champions! How apt on my return here. Very glad I took up the post co-manage with Bilal and that I've been able to guide them all the way to our first ever title and Champions League appearance. Our top order has been indispensable throughout the whole season and they showed just why here, and there's always someone to step up to the plate should someone falter. Seldom can you see that every player has played their part but I think in this case everybody has in some way and it's all counted towards this. Also a major milestone for me as it's the first time I've won a league of this calibre in a test-playing nation.
